Abstract
Стаття присвячена аналізу динаміки Рейтингу «The World’s Most Innovative Companies», порівняльному та структурному аналізу вибірки з 100 компаній (201–2018 рр.). В ході аналізу Рейтинг було поділено на чотири квартилі (по 25 компаній в кожному, де Q1– компанії, що займають 1–25 сходинки, Q2: 26–50, Q3: 51–75 і Q4: 76–100), що забезпечило додаткові можливості для аналітичного порівняння та візуалізації результатів дослідження. Виявлені суттєві зміни в географічному та галузевому розподілі компаній Рейтингу: 1) в світі Азія поступово тіснить Америку; 2) помітне домінування американських і азійських компаній над європейськими; 3) програмістські компанії у 2018 р. суттєво посилили свої позиції; 4) помітне послаблення позицій компаній з галузі фармацевтики та біотехнологій.
The purpose of the study was: based on the analysis of the dynamics of the «Most Innovative Companies of the World« rating, a comparative and structural analysis of a sample of 100 companies (2016–2018), identify changes in the geographical and industry distribution of companies, visualize these changes and provide analytical explanations. During the analysis, the Rating was divided into four quartiles (25 companies each, where Q1 are companies occupying 1–25 steps, Q2: 26–50, Q3: 51–75 and Q4: 76–100), which provided additional opportunities for analytical comparison and visualization of research results. We have identified significant changes in the geographical and sectoral distribution of companies. Therefore, firstly, in the world, Asia is gradually crowding out America, while there is a strengthening of the position of the United States (as a country) — in the region and in the world, against the background of a general weakening of the position of representatives of the American continents. Secondly, the noticeable dominance of American and Asian companies over European ones, although Europeans are actively «entering« and «leaving« the rating, as well as moving within the boundaries of the second and fourth quartiles. Third, in 2018, programmer companies became the absolute leader, taking the first and second stages, and receiving first place in the number of companies representing the industry in the ranking and in the number of them in the first (highest) quartile. Fourth, the companies in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnologies, having lost (in 2018) the first place to companies operating in the field of software, in addition, almost halved their presence in the rating (however, 70 % of companies in this industry are located in the first, highest quartile).
