| dc.description.abstract | Work provides discussion of Georgian regional development policy and its key directions. It studies the regional development directions of the EU Association Agreement and analyses how well are harmonized the documents setting economic policies of the country with one another and how well they respond to the challenges facing Georgia today. There is single-level system of regional governance in our country. To ensure effective cooperation between regional and local government authorities the mechanisms of vertical and horizontal interaction between the central and local public services (i.e. multi-level governance) and capacity building of local self-governments is required. For implementation of effective multi-level policies, close coordination between the public institutes, as well as adjustment of regional development programs and strategies is of great significance. | uk_UA |
