It helps to increase the knowledge capital of the job seekers and to supply the labor market with the demand related to the occupations. In the conditions of high unemployment, it is especially relevant to support the mentioned direction in order to facilitate the increase in the availability of highly qualified specialists adapted to the requirements of the labor market by focusing on vocational training. In order to assess the challenges of vocational education in the tourism sector, we conducted qualitative research and focus groups in the tourism sector. The study involved the private and public sectors, experts in the field, vocational education institutions, sectoral associations and others. The research process highlighted the need to implement a number of measures to address the existing challenges, which will help to encourage and stimulate vocational education in the tourism sector. Measures to be taken include program updates, modification / restoration of canceled programs, intensive involvement of the private sector in the teaching-learning process, increase in the awareness and popularity of vocational education in general, and more.ukvocational educationemployment servicestourism sectorVocational education challenges in the tourism sector of GeorgiaArticle
