Метою статті є окреслення механізму детінізації глобальної економіки, який враховує особливості процесу зеленої трансформації світової економіки та перевірка гіпотези щодо наявності лінійного зв’язку між ключовими індикаторами розвитку зеленої та тіньової економік. Окреслено, що зелений перехід є шляхом підвищення рівня соціально-економічного розвитку суспільств, який спирається на три ключові концепції – біоекономіка, циркулярна економіка та зелена економіка. Повне розуміння концепції тіньової економіки, включаючи такі виміри як неформальна та необлікована частини економіки, підпільне виробництво, сприятиме подоланню їх вад в процесі зеленої трансформації. На виборці даних 145 країн виявлено, що ключові індекси розвитку зеленої економіки мають тісний лінійний зв’язок між собою, а з індикаторами тіньової економіки зв’язки носять як лінійний, так і нелінійний характер. Складено рейтинг країн за їх часткою у глобальній тіньовій економіці та оцінено розмір її частки, який становить близько 16,2% глобального ВВП. Зелений механізм детінізації глобальної економіки включає як екстерналії, глобальні індекси і рейтинги, появу нових ринків і залучення в економічний обіг нових чинників, так і логічну послідовність дій – 1) визнання компонентного складу зеленої та тіньової економік; 2) забезпечення обліку складових; 3) встановлення стратегічних цілей та тактичних пріоритетів розвитку; та 4) управління розвитком зеленої економіки на мікро- і макроекономічному рівнях. Recognition of the objectivity of existence of shadow economy opens a way to its use in interests of development of public economy on a national and global scale. The purpose of the article is to outline the mechanism of unshadowing of global economy, which takes into account features of the process of green transformation of world economy and to test the hypothesis regarding presence of a linear relationship between key indicators of development of green and shadow economies. The hypothesis that green transformation can be effectively used to reduce the level of shadowing of economy is considered. With the use of bibliographic analysis, the relative lagging behind the focus of researchers' attention on study of shadow economy, which lags significantly behind dynamics of study of green economy and economy as a whole, was revealed. It has been demonstrated that despite significant contribution of international organizations to development of concepts of the shadow economy and the green economy, the main efforts should be made at local level and through cooperation of stakeholders. It is outlined that green transition is a way of increasing the level of socio-economic development of societies, which is based on three key concepts - bioeconomy, circular economy and green economy. A full understanding of the concept of the shadow economy, including such dimensions as informal and non-observed parts of economy, underground production, will contribute to overcoming their shortcomings in the process of green transformation. Based on data sample of 145 countries, it was found that the key indicators of development of the green economy have a close linear relationship with each other, and relationships with the indicators of the shadow economy are both linear and non-linear. We propose countries’ ranking according to their share in global shadow economy and the size of its share was estimated, which is about 16.2% of global GDP.
