Abstract
Розвиток інноваційної складової економіки країни, зокрема стартап-індустрії, є сьогодні першочерговим завданням. Тому мета дослідження полягає у визначенні пріоритетних напрямків розвитку інноваційної політики України для підвищення конкурентоспроможності
держави та покращення бізнес-клімату для реалізації стартапів. Встановлені країни-лідери Європейського регіону, які мають найвищі рейтинги за міжнародними індексами та найкращий бізнес-клімат для розвитку стартап-індустрії. Визначено позиції України у рейтингу країн європейської спільноти.
The development of the innovative economy and well-grown startup industry is among the most important goals of the country. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the key directions for the Ukrainian innovation policy in order to increase the competitiveness of the country and to improve the business climate for the startup development. It was found that Switzerland is a leading country in the European region according to the Global Innovation Index (GII), Global Competitiveness Index (GCI) and Index of Economic Freedom (IEF), while Finland is a leading country according to the Networked Readiness Index (NRI). The best business climate for the startup development was found in the United Kingdom. It was also determined that in comparison with the highest rating country (100 %) the position of Ukraine in the European region is the following: 70.1 % in the GCI, 70.0 % in the NRI, 59.0 % in the IEF and 55.6 % in the GII. It was established that contribution of Ukraine to the European startup industry is 2.4 %.
