Global value chains in China's innovation development system

Abstract
The rapid growth of the global value chains (GVCs) has become an important factor in the development of globalization over the past decades. In times of global network economy, fundamental changes in international production fragmentation arise. They result in significant transformations of global production networks (GPNs). China, as a global steamer of GVCs development has gone from laborintensive tasks to the delivery high value-added services that have changed its role in the international production fragmentation.
