    Circular economy performance evaluation: metrics and challenges

    This paper analyzes circular economy key performance indicators (KPIs) from the OECD's Inventory of Circular Economy Indicators. It examines the inventory, categorizing 474 indicators across the environment, governance, economy, infrastructure, technology, and social categories. The analysis provides insights into the current state of circular measurement frameworks. Findings show that environmental and waste indicators are well-developed, while economic and sector-specific metrics require expansion. The paper discusses implications for improving circular indicators through greater standardization, developing economic and forward-looking metrics, and increased collaboration.
