    The aim of the article is to improve the formal mathematical model for calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis services «cloud computing». The work considers the specifics of cloud computing and the problem of estimation of costs of transition to the cloud computing paradigm is formulated in the paper . After analyzing the disadvantages of existing models and methods the need to conduct further research on the development and elaboration of methods for calculating TCO for cloud-based it services is revealed in the publication.
