N.The given article discusses the development challenges under conditions of globalization of innovations. On the basis of international organisations reports analysed and synthesized new approaches of innovative development policy. Innovations became more global and spread more widely across sectors, thus broadening the basis for economic growth, but countries face new development policy challenges. Innovation and technology development are the result of a complex set of relationships among actors in the system, which includes enterprises, universities and government research institutes. Scientific, Technological and Industrial policy as the channel of innovation development became more complex. Overcoming of coordination failure among elements of system is the crucial for successful innovation policy. Innovation is fundamentally the task of the private sector and entrepreneurs, but history has shown that in moments of transformations and crises, the role of governments has always been crucial.Item Knowledge economy — global challenges for economic development(ДВНЗ «Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана», 2014) Papachashvili, N. N.The paper stresses the importance of knowledge-based economy for growing well-being, which in turn relies on «knowledge-intensive » parts of economies. On the bases of international organizations reports it is mentioned, that economic and institutional regime, an educated and skilled population, efficient innovation system, Information and Communication Technologies create four pillars that help countries articulate strategies for their transition to a knowledge economy. It is reported, that developing countries face complex problems on the way to move towards the knowledge economy, that may overcome by right strategies of governments and firms.
