    AI as a driver of digital platform development in the Ukrainian economy: focus on small and medium-sized

    This work analyzes the evolution of the digital platform using artificial intelligence in the Ukrainian economy. Particular emphasis is placed on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). For this purpose, a mixed-method approach was adopted. It combined quantitative and qualitative methods. The quantitative prospect was effectuated using a structured survey targeting SME owners, co-founders, operations managers, and heads of marketing, logistics, customer support, and finance. The qualitative part concerned semi-structured interviews with SME decision-makers. The results demonstrated that while artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly improved operational efficiency and digitalization in Ukrainian SMEs, its effectiveness is constrained by financial, technical, and regulatory obstacles. Nonetheless, context-specific drivers of digitalization enable gradual, pragmatic adoption, with measurable benefits emerging even under cautious and uneven integration. The study concludes that AI plays a pragmatic yet limited role in driving digital transformation among Ukrainian SMEs.

    Analysis of the use of blockchain technologies and smart contracts to automate management processes and ensure sustainability

    Introduction: this paper discusses and analyzes how blockchain technologies and smart contracts apply to automate assurance management processes with sustainability using a perspective model. The increase in demand for systems that are clear and secure in the automation of management processes calls for innovations such as blockchain and smart contracts. Objective: the objectives of the article are to identify the status of blockchain and smart contract adoption in many management processes; to consider the effect these technologies have on the efficiency, transparency, and sustainability of management operations. Methodology: we used regression and Markov analysis simulations to analyze the impacts of blockchain technologies on the management processes. The case study data were used to predict the long-term sustainability impacts, and simulations were carried out. Results: the regression established a positive but substantial effect of the adoption of blockchain technologies on the efficiency of management processes. 75 % of the efficiency score varies with the level of blockchain adoption. Simulations done using the Markov chain also showed that under the highest level of blockchain adoption, there is an effectivity of 90 percent where management processes would have improved and be efficient for the remaining ten years. The simulations also attested that partial adoption still offered a 70 % probability of sustained improvements. Conclusions: this paper provides strong evidence through regression analysis and Markov simulations showing the influence of these technologies. The ability of organizations to focus on innovative solutions toward sustainable management results is therefore realized. Introducción: este artículo discute y analiza cómo las tecnologías blockchain y los contratos inteligentes se aplican para automatizar los procesos de gestión de aseguramiento con sostenibilidad utilizando un modelo de perspectiva. El aumento de la demanda de sistemas que sean claros y seguros en la automatización de los procesos de gestión exige innovaciones como blockchain y los contratos inteligentes. Objetivo: los objetivos del artículo son identificar el estado de blockchain y la adopción de contratos inteligentes en muchos procesos de gestión; considerar el efecto que estas tecnologías tienen en la eficiencia, transparencia y sostenibilidad de las operaciones de gestión. Metodología: utilizamos simulaciones de regresión y análisis de Markov para analizar los impactos de las tecnologías blockchain en los procesos de gestión. Se utilizaron los datos del estudio de caso para predecir los impactos de sostenibilidad a largo plazo y se realizaron simulaciones. Resultados: la regresión estableció un efecto positivo pero sustancial de la adopción de tecnologías blockchain en la eficiencia de los procesos de gestión. El 75 % de la puntuación de eficiencia varía con el nivel de adopción de blockchain. Las simulaciones realizadas mediante la cadena de Markov también mostraron que, en el nivel más alto de adopción de blockchain, existe una eficacia del 90 % en la que los procesos de gestión habrían mejorado y serían eficientes durante los diez años restantes. Las simulaciones también atestiguaron que la adopción parcial seguía ofreciendo una probabilidad del 70 % de mejoras sostenidas. Conclusiones: este trabajo aporta pruebas sólidas mediante análisis de regresión y simulaciones de Markov que demuestran la influencia de estas tecnologías. Por lo tanto, se pone de manifiesto la capacidad de las organizaciones para centrarse en soluciones innovadoras hacia resultados de gestión sostenibles.

    Application of AI in the Energy Sector of Ukraine in the Conditions of War

    Introduction. In the 21st century, the global energy industry is undergoing a transformation – a transition from an outdated model of the energy sector dominated by large producers, fossil fuels, and inefficient management systems to a new model with a competitive environment and equalization of opportunities for development. Preference is given to increasing energy efficiency and using energy from renewable sources. In this context, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) is the most important trend of recent decades, which contributes to the automation of technological processes, and the development of smart networks and innovative digital business platforms based on AI will allow not only to effectively manage energy supply and consumption modes, but also significantly affect strategic priorities, since certain technologies lead to changes in the conditions and principles of functioning not only of certain energy systems, but also of socio-cultural aspects of energy consumption. On the other hand, the global practice of using AI technologies, which contribute to the decentralization of the energy supply system and increasing the flexibility of responding to consumer needs, significantly affects the functioning of existing centralized energy supply systems. For Ukrainian energy companies in the conditions of a full-scale war, this circumstance is a serious challenge and will require the adoption of strategic decisions regarding the priorities of the country’s energy development. The full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation against Ukraine destroyed the process of gradual modernization of Ukraine’s energy enterprises. However, overcoming the consequences of the armed invasion and radical changes in the energy sector of Ukraine can become a factor in the transformation of the entire energy sector of the country. Purpose and method of investigation. The purpose of the study is to determine the main directions of implementation of artificial intelligence technologies at energy enterprises of Ukraine based on the analysis of trends in the world energy sector and taking into account the attacks and destruction of energy infrastructure during a full-scale war. Achieving the goal involves solving the following research tasks: first, to characterize the potential and directions of application of AI in energy; secondly, to analyze the international and Ukrainian practice of implementing AI technologies in the activities of energy companies; thirdly, with the help of the SWOT analysis method, determine the areas of use of artificial intelligence technologies for Ukrainian energy enterprises. General and special methods of scientific knowledge were used during the research. Among the general methods of research, the methods of analysis and synthesis, generalization, induction and deduction, comparison were used to study the specifics of the introduction of artificial intelligence in energy. Among the special scientific methods of research, the SWOT analysis method was used, which made it possible to determine the areas of application of artificial intelligence and optimal strategies in the conditions of a full-scale invasion. Investigation Results. The potential and directions of application of artificial intelligence in the energy sector.

    Economic efficiency and environmental benefits of the developmentof renewable energy sources

    The study aims to determine the economic and environmental advantages of renewable energy sources compared to conventional ones. The focus is on assessing the potential of renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions, promote sustainable development, and support economic progress. The impact of renewable energy sources on achieving energy independence, increasing energy efficiency, and reducing dependence on fossil fuels is assessed, and attention is paid to innovative technologies for converting solar, wind, water and biomass energy, ensuring environmentally friendly production. Key mechanisms of state support for the development of renewable energy sources are considered, including investment incentives, the introduction of “green” tariffs and ensuring regulatory framework. Study methodology. The analytical approach was applied based on data collection and analysis to assess the economic and environmental benefits of introducing renewable energy sources. The system approach made it possible to consider the development of renewable energy sources as an integrated system of interactions between the economy, ecology, society, and tech-nologies. The scientific novelty of the study is the comprehensive approach to analyzing the economic and environmental efficiency of renewable energy sources. There were determined the impact of renewable energy sources on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and their contribution to the fight against global warming, which allows for a quantitative assessment of environmental efficiency in the context of achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and national strategies for reducing the carbon footprint. The authors suggested recommendations for improving state policy to support and develop renewable energy sources, including analysis of current mechanisms for stimulating the production and use of renewable energy. A comparative analysis of the cost of energy production from different sources, their impact on the ecosystem and return on investment is carried out. Particular attention is paid to studying the experience of advanced countries in the implementation of renewable energy sources and adapting these practices to the current needs of the world economy. Scientific novelty lies in identifying the factors contributing to the constant growth of the share of renewable energy sources in the global energy balance. The prospects for using waste-to-energy technologies are described, as well as their role in minimizing environmental risks is analyzed and the socio-economic effect of RES integration is determined, including the creation of new jobs, increasing the level of social responsibility of business and the development of a “green” economy. The results of the study are of practical importance for the formation of strategies for state regulation of the energy sector, stimulating innovation in the field of renewable energy sources, as well as developing recomm-endations for businesses on adaptation to new environmental standards. The study contributes to the deepening of the understanding of the complex impact of renewable energy sources on the economy, ecology, and society, as well as to the expansion of the scientific base for the development of effective strategies for increasing the share of RES in the energy balance of countries.

    The features of the professional activities of actuaries, in particular in Canada were determined; the basic models and directions of professional training in the actuarial profile were clarified; national and international standards governing the training of actuaries in Canada and the world were analyzed. The features of dual education within the framework of university training were characterized and the role of accredited HEIs in the system of professional training of these specialists were outlined. The specifics of the acquisition of full and associate membership in the CIA on the basis of the leading North American professional associations – Society of Actuaries (SOA) and Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) were presented. The content and organizational and pedagogical aspects of the acquisition of the qualification of a certified actuary of entrepreneurial risks in Canada were characterized.

    Due to the changes taking place in all spheres of public life, the emphasis in the issues of staff's education and advanced training and their professional development is transferred from the national to the institutional level. Accordingly, the issue of creating, on the one hand, an effective system of education and advanced training, and on the other - an in-house system of methodical work becomes important. The set of components of the system of scientific and methodological support of the managers' professional development has been separated. The criteria for the classification of the forms and methods of managers training were systematized and substantiated, in particular: activity of the adult student; number of participants; place of study, time and duration of the study. Forms and methods of diagnosing the needs of managers, forms and methods of training, forms and methods of evaluating learning outcomes were structured and analyzed in detail.

    In conditions of market competition, every catering company should strive to maximize the results of its production and economic activities. To do this, it must maximize its competitive advantages over competitors. The most significant advantage is the production of higher quality products. To improve the quality of products produced by a catering company , it is necessary to pay more attention to technological processes , the functioning of which has a significant impact on the quality of finished products. The functioning of a catering company depends a lot on the efficiency of its staff. In this regard, in order to maintain a high quality of customer service at public catering enterprises, much attention should be paid to stimulating the effective labor activity of employees of the enterprise. Improving the quality management system at public catering enterprises allows not only to occupy its market niche, but also to attract the attention of potential investors. The use of a quality control system at public catering enterprises, certification of the enterprise on the basis of international quality management standards allows enterprises to reduce production costs, and therefore improve their financial and economic performance.

    Risk Management in the Global Banking Business (Chinese aspect)

    This article examined the most serious issues related to risk management. The implementation of the risk management strategies in global banking business is inherited as risk in all business activity of the banking intermediaries on the financial services market. If not managed well, risks can result in financial loss, damage to the reputation of banking organization, penalties and regulatory sanctions, each of which may adversely impact organization’s ability to execute its business strategy. The issue of risk management in the global banking and finance sector could hardly be more topical. Perceived deficiencies in this area have been widely linked with the Asian financial crisis in 1997, global banking crises in 2007–2009, European banking crises 2011–2013 and a great deal of attention has since been paid by everyone – from financial authorities to the media – to risk management and regulation.

    The Impact of the Internet of Things on Business Models and Strategies

    The relevance of our study is due to the rapid development of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and their significant impact on business models and strategies of enterprises. In the context of the global digital transformation, the introduction of IoT is becoming an important factor that can significantly increase the competitiveness of companies in various fields. The aim of the study is to look at how IoT is affecting the business models and strategies of enterprises in industries such as manufacturing, logistics, healthcare and retail. We also aim to explore how these technological changes are contributing to process optimisation and efficiency gains for companies. In our work, we use a quantitative approach to analyse the adoption of IoT in the above industries. To do this, we analyse statistical data, analysts' reviews and conduct a comparative analysis of business models of companies that have already integrated IoT into their operations. The results showed that the impact of IoT varies by industry. In manufacturing and logistics, IoT is helping to automate processes and increase flexibility, in retail it is helping to customise personalised services, and in healthcare it is helping to improve the quality of patient care. However, challenges remain, including high implementation costs, cybersecurity issues, and infrastructure limitations. The findings of our study confirm that IoT not only improves operational processes but also changes business models, opening up new prospects for development. However, the successful implementation of these technologies requires addressing cybersecurity and infrastructure constraints, which requires additional investment and further research.

    Безконтактні послуги мережі 5G в цифровій економіці Республіки Корея

    У статті розглядається інтернет мережа п’ятого покоління 5G, на основі якої з’являються та поширюються безконтактні послуги. В гармонічному переході від існуючої мережі 4G LTE, автором охарактеризовано урядову стратегію розгортання мережі 5G в Республіці Корея з визначенням провідних індустрій та сервісів, у яких вона буде використовуватися. Презентовано три основні південнокорейські мобільні оператори 5G (SK Telecom, LG Uplus, KT), завдяки яких відбувається швидке поширення мережі в Республіці Корея. Акцентовано увагу на технологічній діяльності Samsung Electronics, як основного виробника-постачальника 5G обладнання та девайсів на внутрішній та експортний ринки. Автором визначено основні безконтактні послуги на основі мережі 5G в цифровій економіці Республіки Корея та інноваційні 5G послуги у концепті B2B та B2C. Наголошується, що завдяки використання мережі 5G відбувається конвергенція провідних індустрій, що в майбутньому позитивно вплине на конкурентоспроможність економіки Республіки Корея. Виокремлено, що одними з основних драйверів поширення мережі 5G в Республіці Корея є не тільки технологічні компанії, а також і ІТ-компанії та цифрові платформи, такі як Naver, Kakao і Coupang. З’ясовано, що існуючий бізнес намагається знайти нові рішення задля своєї конкурентоспроможності, використовуючи не лише переваги мережі 5G, але й інші важливі передові ІКТ технології Індустрії 4:0, такі як інтернет речей, блокчейн, штучний інтелект, великі дані, дрони та робототехніка на основі технологій штучного інтелекту. Окреслено, що мережа 5G є настільки важливою технологією у концепції цифрової економіки, при якій надання послуг відбувається за допомогою цифрових платформ, е-урядування, е-медицини, е-освіти, е-комерції, розумних мереж, промислової автоматизації, fintech, безпілотних транспортних засобів, розумного сільського господарства, розумної фабрики, розумного міста та розумного будинку, що відіграє вирішальну роль у цифровій конкурентоспроможності Республіки Корея. Зазначено, що чітко визначена урядом цифрова стратегія розвитку Республіки Корея дозволяє гармонійно співпрацювати державним та приватним структурам щодо досягнення своїх довгострокових цілей. The article is devoted to the investigation of the internet network of the fifth generation 5G, on the base of which appear and spread contactless services. In a harmonious transition from existing 4G LTE network, author describes the government’s strategy for the 5G network deployment in the Republic of Korea, identifying the leading industries and services in which it will be utilizing. The main three South-Korean mobile operators (SK Telecom, LG Uplus, KT) are presented, thanks to which the network is rapidly spreading in the Republic of Korea. An attention accenting on the technological activities of Samsung Electronics as the main manufacturer-supplier of 5G equipment and devices for the domestic and exports market. Author identified the main contactless services based on the 5G network in the digital economy of the Republic of Korea and innovative 5G services in the B2B and B2C concept. Thanks to the 5G network utilizing the leading industries are converging, which will have positively effect on the South-Korean economy competitiveness in the future. The main drivers of the 5G network spreading in the Republic of Korea are the technological corporations, which we noted before, also IT corporations with digital platforms such as Naver, Kakao and Coupang. The all existing business try to find new solutions for its aliveness utilizing not only benefits from 5G but also the other important advanced ICT technologies of the Industry 4:0, such as, internet of things, block chain, Artificial intelligence, big data, AI drones and robots. 5G network is so important technology in the digital economy concept, where services provision by the digital platforms, e-government, e-healthcare, e-education, e-commerce, smart-grids, industrial automatization, fintech, autonomous vehicles, smart agricultural, smart-factory, smart-city and smart house play the crucial role in the country’s digital competitiveness. Stressed that clear identified by the Government digital strategy of the Republic of Korea development allows both public and private structures harmoniously cooperate for achieving their long-term goals.

Автором проаналізовано сучасний стан економіки ЄС та відсоткові ставки центральних банків провідних країн світу. Описано грошово-кредитну політику, яку проводив ЄЦБ за 2014–2015 рр. The article analyzes the EU financial market and the impact of the ECB’s monetary policy; the main financial institution of the Eurozone area on the EU economy is given. The author describes the current state of the EU economy and interest rates of the central banks of the leading countries. The author also describes monetary policy which has been pursued by the ECB during 2014–2015 years.
