Dvornyk, Iryna
The scientific article substantiates the conceptual foundations for the reengineering of business models of information technology (IT) enterprises, aimed at the systematic formation of their resilience in conditions of critical volatility and uncertainty of the modern economic environment. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to shift from traditional paradigms of sustainable development and adaptive management to dynamic systems capable of not only effectively absorbing external destructive shocks but also utilizing them as an impetus for radical strategic renewal and increasing market value. Within the scope of the work, a thorough analysis of the genesis and evolutionary transformation of IT sector business models was conducted: from classical linear architectures based on the sale of perpetual licenses to complex cloud ecosystems and service-oriented models (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). The author reveals and clarifies the essence of the "business model resilience" category as an integral dynamic characteristic that combines three fundamental capabilities: absorptive (capacity for self-preservation), restorative (minimization of recovery time from a crisis state), and adaptive-transformational (capacity to change the system architecture). The central focus of the study is the development of the author’s conceptual mechanism for business model reengineering, based on the synthesis of radical change methodology and the principles of iterative flexibility (Agile). The scientific novelty of the results lies in the paradigm shift of transformation processes: instead of rigid operational cost optimization, the formation of architectural business variability is proposed through the implementation of modular structures, diversification of technological stacks, and the use of "digital twins" of business processes for preventive stress testing. The practical significance of the study lies in providing IT company management with a practical toolkit for the rapid redesign of value creation logic under conditions of military-political and macroeconomic crises.

Harafonova, Olha
This article explores the transformation of project management practices in the IT sector in response to crisis situations, with a specific focus on Ukraine during the full-scale war. The war has presented Ukrainian IT companies with numerous challenges, including disrupted infrastructure, forced relocations, cybersecurity threats, power outages, and workforce stress due to constant psychological pressure and mobilization. In this context, traditional linear project management approaches have proven insufficient to cope with the heightened uncertainty and instability. Therefore, many organizations have shifted towards adaptive models such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid frameworks that allow for flexibility, iterative planning, and rapid feedback loops. The study analyses how Ukrainian IT teams reorganized their operations under stress: shortening sprint cycles, decentralizing decision-making, adopting asynchronous communication models, and relying more heavily on cloud infrastructure and tools such as Jira, Trello, Slack, and Confluence. The role of psychological resilience and team support systems is emphasized, particularly through initiatives like mental health programs, mentorship sessions, and the implementation of “no-meeting days.” Empirical data from over 15 Ukrainian companies illustrates the critical success factors for project management during crises: flexible workload distribution, horizontal leadership structures, agile risk management, and digital maturity. This paper contributes to the field by contextualizing agile project management within an active war zone and offers practical recommendations for companies worldwide facing high-risk and high-volatility environments. It emphasizes the importance of cultivating antifragility in teams and systems — turning crises into opportunities for structural evolution and organizational learning. The findings are relevant not only for project managers and executives but also for researchers seeking to understand innovation processes in turbulent settings.

Harafonova, Olha
City. This article explores the innovation management strategies employed by Ukrainian IT companies during the ongoing war and global instability. In response to unpredictable circumstances, such as infrastructure destruction, cyberattacks, labor migration, and economic uncertainty, Ukrainian IT firms have exhibited extraordinary flexibility and innovation capacity. The study investigates structural transformations in organizational models, including the shift to decentralized management, the formation of autonomous R&D teams across different time zones, and the utilization of virtual collaboration hubs. The adoption of agile frameworks and remote-first policies has enabled rapid adaptation and continuity in development cycles despite adverse conditions. Particular attention is paid to the role of emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, generative models, and low-code/no-code platforms—in maintaining operational efficiency and fostering product innovation. These tools have become essential for automating customer service, enhancing cybersecurity, and optimizing internal logistics, especially in the context of humanitarian initiatives. The research also analyzes sociological surveys, including those conducted by DOU and Lviv IT Cluster, indicating a rise in R&D investment and innovation engagement across the sector. Case studies of MacPaw, Reface, and Ajax Systems exemplify successful adaptation strategies, from geographic relocation and contingency infrastructure to participation in global digital resilience initiatives. The findings emphasize the importance of integrating innovation with strategic foresight, psychological resilience, and legal frameworks such as Diia.City. Key recommendations include fostering mental health support, increasing R&D funding through public-private partnerships, deepening EU digital integration, and expanding innovation-focused regulation. The conclusions provide actionable insights for developing crisis-resilient innovation strategies, particularly relevant for digital industries operating under prolonged stress. This research highlights how the Ukrainian IT sector, despite extraordinary hardship, can become a global model for innovation-led recovery and sustainable transformation.
