The work has carried out a comprehensive study of the phenomenon of interpersonal conflict in the context of the professional activities of working women. The main scientific approaches to understanding the construct of “interpersonal conflict” have been analyzed, which is interpreted as a pronounced opposition of two or more interdependent parties who perceive incompatible goals, limited resources and interference from the other party in achieving their goals. It has been empirically found that in female work teams, rivalry as a conflict regulation style is used the least, and the dominant styles of behavior in conflicts are compromise and avoidance. It has been proven that among organizational factors, the behavior of women in conflicts is influenced by the position in the organization, the frequency of the manager’s response to conflicts in the team, and the amount of workload. A single personal factor was identified that is associated with conflict regulation styles, namely the level of severity of affiliative tendency. Empirically, the existence of two types of behavior in a conflict situation has been confirmed: non-constructive (rivalry and avoidance are more often used) and constructive (cooperation and accommodation are more often used).
