Digital collaboration of virtual project teams in the transdisciplinary educational space
(AIP Publishing, 2023-12-07) Banit, Olha; Баніт, Ольга Василівна; Rostoka, Marina; Raievska, Yana; Kravchuk, Oksana; Кравчук, Оксана Іванівна; Cherevychnyi, Gennadii
The authors note that in virtual teams in remote work, some processes are difficult or impossible to hold. Given that the representatives of such teams must work remotely, there is a need to find new forms, methods and ways of their communication and collaboration. Transdisciplinary presentation of key elements in the educational collaboration system in the virtual office space includes the following positions: collaboration tools, collaboration modes, collaboration rules, network etiquette, team spirit. The use of remote collaboration involves the establishment of basic and backup channels of communication, virtual planning, etc., which should be the same for all team members. The article provides examples of software for effective collaboration and project management, combining separate tools for their preparation and implementation. The collaboration mode creates the necessary rhythm for the work of the virtual project team and provides the ability to quickly solve all important tasks. Clearly defined rules and norms of collaboration make it possible to avoid misunderstandings in the digital environment. The article systematizes the optimal time, frequency, and duration of formal and informal meetings, as well as summarizes the protocol of online communication, considering digital etiquette. The authors substantiate the need for clear regulations of standards and rules of virtual teams’ work; documentation of all collaboration processes, including the procedure and protocol for holding collective meetings and making collective decisions. Such regulations are important to ensure the transfer and exchange of knowledge during remote work, especially when people work asynchronously due to different time zones and helps reduce the need for all other control tools of project participants. Supporting team spirit is identified as an important factor in the effective operation of a virtual project team. Despite the limitations in live communication in remote mode, the virtual teams reveal the same patterns of group dynamics as in real interaction. But they can be implemented only by using digital communication tools. Recommendations have been developed for the use of “smart feedback” technologies, as well as modern types, forms, and tools for building team spirit to increase the efficiency of the virtual project team at different stages of its development.

Modern Information and Educational Environment in the Context of the Theory of Generations
(Wydawnictwo Akademii pedagogiki specjalnej im. Marii Grzegorzewskiej, 2022) Androshchuk, Iryna; Banit, Olha; Баніт, Ольга Василівна; Shtepura, Ałła; Rostoka, Marina; Cherevychnyj, Gennadij
The article analyzes the image of the modern informational and educational environment, taking into account the participation of different generations. The works of modern scientists and practitioners who investigate various aspects related to the impact of information and communication technologies on the current generation of pupils and students are analyzed. Studies analyzing the overall statistics on the use of information and communication technologies (hereafter ICT) up to the impact of these technologies on the human brain and the creation of new learning strategies are taken into account. The authors analyzed Generation Z in detail, providing the characteristics of the generation that is now being studied, by researchers from different countries. The comparative table shows the positive and negative qualities of representatives of Generation Z. Research analysis shows that the psychological readiness of both students and teachers to use information and communication technologies effectively should be taken into account when planning collaborative work in an information and education environment. Distance learning, which is increasingly used in higher education institutions, entails the need for careful analysis of how to create educational material and how to organize work with students. Accordingly, teachers are expected to take different approaches to teaching Generation Z students. Modern students expect an individual approach to learning. It is important to know where you can find relevant information and how to apply it in practice. At the same time, the article emphasizes that during the distance education of students, the role of the teacher in the didactic process is even more significant than in traditional education. Based on the analyzed sources, the article concludes that the urgent need of today is to create a new model of information and educational environment, which, taking into account changes in society and in the minds of students, will allow the qualitative use of the creative potential of information and communication technologies, without giving up other forms of knowledge acquisition and competence formation.

Students’ Readiness to Distance Learning: Results of Research in the Institutions of Higher Education
(2022-01-27) Banit, Olha; Баніт, Ольга Василівна; Shtepura, Alla; Rostoka, Marina; Cherevychnyi, Gennadii; Dyma, Oleksandr; Дима, Олександр Олексійович
Assessing the readiness of students for distance learning is one of the main factors in the planning and implementation of distance learning. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the readiness of students to implement distance learning tools while learning English. The authors consider the students’ readiness to implement distance learning as a complex of cognitive, motivational, technological, and reflexive components. The paper analyzes various forms of diagnosing readiness levels, including surveys, questionnaires, interviews, and observations used in the study. The research demonstrated that distance learning presented some challenges to students on the one hand, and offered them new opportunities on the other hand. A list of factors that impeded English distance learning and benefits of distance learning were identified by students in this survey. The most notable is the growth of the high-level category of technological component. 83% of respondents indicated that they mastered new distance learning tools they had not previously used or used partially. On the plus side within the cognitive component we can admit gaining of new experience by students. Changes in the motivational and reflexive components were less noticeable.
