The master's thesis is devoted to the study of the relationship between the self-perception of an individual and his/her behavioral styles. The work analyzes theoretical approaches to the concept of self-perception and the classification of behavioral styles, and also conducts empirical research aimed at identifying the specifics of the interaction of these psychological constructs. The purpose of the study is to systematize scientific data on self-perception and behavioral styles, as well as determine the nature of their relationship in a youth sample. The objectives of the work include the analysis of scientific sources on self-perception and behavioral styles, the adaptation of the English-language methodology "Multidimensional assessment of Assertiveness" (Cem Malakcioğlu) for the Ukrainian youth sample, the conduct of an empirical study of existing behavioral styles and features of self-perception, as well as the identification of patterns of the relationship between self-perception and behavioral strategies. As a result of the study, self-perception was theoretically substantiated as a multidimensional construct that determines the choice of behavioral strategies. The C. Malakcioğlu methodology was psychometrically adapted for the Ukrainian sample, which allowed us to identify three key components of assertiveness: Tolerance, Autonomy, and Resilience. It was empirically established that the assertive style of behavior dominates in the studied sample, and a high level of unconditional self-acceptance minimizes the tendency to aggressive and passive strategies. A close relationship was found between assertiveness and mindfulness skills, in particular the ability to consciously describe one's own emotions and relate to them without judgment. The practical significance of the work lies in the implementation of the adapted methodology "Multidimensional Assertiveness Assessment" for Ukrainian youth and the use of the obtained data in psychological counseling, diagnostics of communication difficulties, and the development of training programs for the development of assertiveness through self-acceptance and mindfulness.
