    The impact of culture on environmentally responsible behaviour in New Zealand

    The present article deals with the cultural variables and the way they influence the citizens’ attitude to the environment in New Zealand. It analyses New Zealanders’ environmental consciousness and how some of the Hofstede’s cultural dimensions determined it. Its prior objective is to investigate the correlation between these dimensions and environmentally responsible behavior of the citizens. The results of this investigation serve for understanding and adaption of New Zealand experience of protecting the environment on an individual and country level.
