Випрацювання, становлення та кодифікація морфологійних термінів як складника граматичної термінології

З’ясовано загальнотеоретичні питання становлення морфологійної термінопідсистеми: морфологійні терміни як складник граматичної термінології, першоджерела формування морфологійної термінопідсистеми, основні етапи випрацювання, становлення та кодифікації термінів. Основну увагу зосереджено на проблемі розбудови понять морфологійної системи та їх термінологійного вираження в період національного відродження й розширення функцій української мови початку 20-х років ХХ ст. The general theoretical issues describing how the morphological terminology subsystem is being formed are clarified: morphological terms as a component of grammatical terminology, primary sources of morphological terminology subsystem’s formation, main stages of elaboration, formation and codification of terms. The main attention is focused on the problem of developing the morphological system concepts and their terminological expression in the period of the Ukrainian language national revival and expansion of its functions at the period of the early 20s of XX century.
Граматичне термінотворення Мелетія Смотрицького в контексті давньоукраїнського мовознавства

У статті зосереджено увагу на визначенні тієї ролі, яку відіграла «Граматика» Мелетія Смотрицького в кодифікуванні граматичної системи церковнослов’янської мови, у розбудові граматичної теорії та формуванні слов’янської лінгвістичної термінології, зокрема, розширенні поняттєвої бази граматики, збагаченні її новими й удосконаленими терміноодиницями. The article is devoted to the multidisciplinary examination of grammatical terminology in the “Grammar” by M. Smotrytsky, the 400th anniversary of the publication of which this year celebrates the scientifi c community of the Slavic world. The emphasis was placed on determining the role played by “Grammar” in the codifi cation of the grammatical system of the Church Slavic language, which functioned in the ancient period in the Eastern Slavic lands and had a great infl uence on the formation of grammatical thought in Ukraine, contributed to the enrichment of grammatical theory through the introduction to scientifi c treatment of new linguistic concepts and the formation of Slavic linguistic theory. Using the theoretical achievements of the Greek-Latin grammar, translated by Ukrainian linguists into the Slavic linguistic soil during the long period of development of the Ukrainian language, M. Smotrytsky set out to broaden the conceptual and terminological basis and thus sought to enrich the theory of grammar. Due to the fact that in one article it is impossible to cover all the grammatical terms represented in the “Grammar”, only those that were fi rst recorded in it or which M. Smotrytsky transposed from the grammar of his predecessors, having improved them, are involved in the analysis. In particular, this article analyzes the concepts and terms of two parts of the grammar, designated by the Greek terms “Orthography” and “Etymology”. In the part of the grammar “Etymology” (“morphology”) traced the discovery of concepts and terms for their designation of only the parts that are discarded in the chapters “Name” and “Verb”.

У статті простежено процес формування й усталення термінів у сфері українського дієслова в період випрацювання термінологічного апарату на національній живомовній основі періоду другої пол. ХІХ – поч. ХХ ст., зокрема зосереджено увагу на виявленні лексико-семантичних відношень у системі зазначених термінів. The article traces the formation and institutionalization of terms of Ukrainian verbs during the elaboration of terminological apparatus on the basis of the mother tongue during XIX – early. XX century., focuses attention on identifying lexical and semantic relations in the system of terms to describe the basic concepts of Ukrainian verbs.

This monograph is an attempt to find the answers for topical issues of modern discourse: what is the essence of the term as a basic unit of professional language, what trends in modern professional communication are and can be, whether it is worth to seek a balance between the native and foreign in view of advances in the globalization era and merging boundaries between cultures. The articles highlight the authors’ long-term research interests and cover various aspects of the scientific nomination in special subtexts. This book is dedicated to the linguistic parameters of modern professional communication. Міжрівневі категорії в морфологічній системі української мови (поняттєво-термінологічний аспект вивчення)

У статті схарактеризовано два полярні концептуальні підходи науковців до вивчення граматичного ладу української мови — традиційний (або нормативно-описовий) і новітній (або функційно-категорійний). Із позиції функційно-категорійної концепції вмотивовано доцільність виокремлення в сучасних наукових дослідженнях поняття міжрівнева категорія, визначено склад і диференційні ознаки міжрівневих категорій, особливості їх функціонування в морфологічній системі мови та термінологічне вираження. The article focuses on the presentation of the two polar conceptual approaches to the study of the grammatical structure of the Ukrainian language — traditional (or normative and descriptive) and contemporary (or functional-categorical). Author determined in general terms the basic theoretical principles of functional-categorical grammar, which is actively confirmed in researchs of Ukrainian grammarians in recent decades Indicated, that new approach, as opposed to traditional, caused by variation scientific paradigm and taking into account different aspects of study of language units— formal and structured, semantic, syntactic, communicative and pragmatic, with focused attention on the fact that the function-categorical approach favors not on the formal structural analysis of language units but on semantic-functional. It is indicated also that the functional-categorical approach involves multi-level interpretation of the aggregate morphological, syntactic and structural word categories in their system of hierarchical relationships and «relationships It was found that this approach helped expand the conceptual system of grammar and the emergence of new terms, among which there are concepts and appropriate period — interlevel category. Described Scientists views on the nature and terminology of expression interlevel categories: noun category, category degrees of comparison adjectives and derivatives of these adverbs valence categories and categories of transition non-transition. Concluded about expediency of not only scientific but also in educational practice of higher school scientists research scientists from functional-categorical grammar.

Невідмінювані частини мови в «Граматиці» Мелетія Смотрицького: поняттєво-термінологічний аспект

In his Grammar, M. Smotrytskyi systematically outlined the general principles of the that time grammatical theory on the basis of involvement in the analysis the traditionalliterary material of Church Slavonic in the Eastern Slavonic edition, successfully combining it with elements of his native living Ukrainian language, which is especially evident in the illustrative material. This article focuses on the problem of defining the basic concepts of grammar and its terminological expression on the material of irreversible parts of the language by M. Smotrytskyi. Considering the grammatical works of his predecessors, M. Smotrytskyi creatively used them and created his own grammatical theory, refining and expanding its conceptual and terminological base. According to the grammatical tradition of that time, M. Smotrytskyi referred to the most part of the Grammar as Etymology. For this period, until the midnineteenth century, and even at the beginning of the twentieth century, scientists have designated one of the main sections of grammar — morphology. This section describes the doctrine of eight parts of the language, the first of which in Ukrainian studies singled out part of the language of interjection and removed the nonSlavic language article. M. Smotrytskyi divided all parts of the language into two conceptual variants: cancelable and irrevocable. M. Smotrytskyi refers to the characteristic of the irrevocable classes of words (Adverb, Preposition, Union, Interjection) in two parts of grammar — morphology and syntax. For the first time in Ukrainian linguistics, M. Smotrytskyi raised the issue of syntactic communication of words in a sentence. The scientist paid most attention to the consideration of the wordforming structure of noncancelable word classes and to the detection of semantic digits. The monument analyzed at the time was an ideal of theoretical elaboration of linguistic material, saturated with new concepts and terms that have been used and continue to be used by linguists in many Slavic terminological systems, unchanged or improved.
Нові підходи до вивчення прикметника та його категорій

У статті відзначено вагомий внесок відомого українського мовознавця-граматиста А. Грищенка у розбудову вчення про прикметник української мови, особливості функціонування якого вчений ґрунтовно описав в історичному аспекті. Зосереджено увагу на тому, що спостереження вченого дали поштовх для розширення й уточнення у новітніх дослідженнях деяких положень щодо статусу прикметника в системі частин мови і його категорій у граматичній структурі української мови. The article noted a significant contribution of famous Ukrainian linguist, grammarian A. Grishchenko into the development of the theory of language as the main morphological units, including the doctrine of the adjective of Ukrainian language, inflectional and derivational characteristics which scientist thoroughly described in historical perspective and in relation to other relevant events of Slavic languages. Special attention in the article is focused on the characteristics of inherent adjective grammatical categories, their interconnection and operation in other parts of speech. The views of scientist on the nature of the adjective, its sort and grammatical categories gave impetus to review and specify some provisions of traditionally established in recent studies, which theoretical principles are based on two important methodological concepts - semantic and functional-categorical. In particular, in the studies of dunctional-categorical put to scientific use the notion of centrality and peripheral parts of speech and therefore motivated definition of the adjective as peripheral parts of speech comparing two central-noun and verb. Fundamentally important in theoretical plan and is the definition of primary and secondary functions of the adjective and its division into primary and secondary on the basis derivatives. In these studies Author determined as one of the defining adjective grammatical categories – category of the comparison – which was first granted the status of interlevel, since it concentrated both morphological and syntactic and word building and signs. В статье отмечен весомый вклад известного украинского языковеда-грамматиста А. Грищенко в развитии учения об имени прилагательном украинского языка, особенностей функционирования которого ученый всесторонне описал в историческом аспекте. Особое внимание обращено на то, что наблюдения ученого послужили толчком для расширения и уточнения в новейших исследованиях некоторых положений относительно определения статуса имени прилагательного в системе частей речи и его категорий в грамматической структуре украинского языка.

У статті проаналізовано різні підходи мовознавців до витлумачення поняття “граматична категорія” та його термінологічного вираження в науковій літературі; з’ясовано причини неоднозначного розуміння вказаного поняття і відповідного терміна. Особливу увагу звернено на дефініцію поняття “граматична категорія” у сфері морфології як одному з основних розділів граматики. Схарактеризовано різні концептуальні напрями досліджень граматичного ладу мови, установлено сучасні тенденції щодо вирішення проблеми неоднозначності терміна “граматична категорія” в українському мовознавстві. The article analyzes different ways to linguists’ interpretation of the concept of “grammatical category” terminology and its expression in the scientific literature; found the reasons for the ambiguous understanding of specified concepts and related terms. Particular attention is paid to the definition of “grammatical category” term in morphology as one of the main sections of grammar. Characterized various conceptual ways of research grammatical structure of the language, set the modern tendency to solve the problem of the ambiguity of the term “grammatical category” in Ukrainian linguistics.
Прикметникова система в граматиках середньовіччя: поняттєво-термінологічний аспект

статті порушено проблему теоретичного осмислення основних понять, пов’язаних із вивченням прикметника і властивих йому категорій і форм у працях українських мовознавців ХVІ–ХVІІ ст. Зокрема, простежено еволюційні процеси у виділенні прикметника зі складу імен як окремої частини мови, звернено увагу на особливості словозміни і творення форм прикметника та на їх термінологічне вираження. The problem of theoretical comprehension of the basic concepts related to the study of adjective and peculiar to his categories and forms in works of the Ukrainian linguists of ХVІ–ХVІІ сс. are broken in the article. In particular, evolutional processes are traced in the selection of adjective from composition of the names as separate part of speech, paid attention on the feature of inflexion and creation of forms of adjective and on their terminological expression. В статье прослеживается проблема теоретического осмысления основных понятий, связанных с изучением имени прилагательного и свойственных ему категорий и форм в трудах украинских языковедов ХVІ–ХVІІ вв. В частности, прослежены эволюционные процессы в выделении прилагательного из состава имен как отдельной части речи, обращено внимание на особенности словоизменения и образования форм прилагательного и на их терминологическое выражение.
Про питоме і запозичене в українській граматичній термінології

У статті акцентовано увагу на ідеї неперервності розвитку термінологічної діяльності українських граматистів, починаючи від найдавнішого періоду ХІV–ХVІІ ст. до сьогодення. Простежено взаємодію церковнослов’янських граматичних термінів, створених у давній період розвитку граматичної думки в Україні переважно в результаті перекладу й калькування відповідних термінів греко-латинських граматик, і новостворених на питомо українській національній основі термінів періоду середини ХІХ – початку ХХ ст. Детально схарактеризовано концептуальні засади створення й уведення до наукового обігу питомо українських граматичних термінів. Звернено особливу увагу на особливості функціонування терміноодиниць-синонімів у згаданий період. Визначено роль запозичених термінів-інтернаціоналізмів у розвиткові граматичної системи української мови в цілому. Обґрунтовано твердження, що запозичення термінів в основному відбувається за рахунок уведення до наукового обігу наукових понять, що з’явилися у зарубіжній мовознавчій літературі, поява яких у певній терміносистемі завжди випереджає лінгвістичні можливості мови-реципієнта, що є свідченням розвитку останньої. Поєднання в українській граматичній термінології свого, питомого, національного, і запозиченого, інтернаціонального, дає змогу вітчизняній науці, зберігаючи національну основу, виходити на міжнародний рівень. У статті зазначено, що без таких термінів, що мають інтернаціональну основу, як граматика, морфологія, синтаксис, дериватологія, морфема, афікс, префікс, суфікс, флексія, грамема, парадигма, вокатив, інфінітив, предикатив, компаратив, валентність, аспектуальність, адвербіалізація та багатьох інших, не можна уявити сучасне наукове дослідження з граматики української мови. При цьому зосереджено увагу на тому, що активні наукові контакти українських і зарубіжних учених у певних галузях знань сприяють випрацюванню спільних принципів і традицій в унормуванні співвідношення в національних терміносистемах питомого і запозиченого на користь національного. The article focuses on the idea of the continuity of the development of the terminological activity of Ukrainian grammarians, from the earliest period of the ХІV–ХVІІ th centuries. To the present. The interaction of Church Slavonic grammatical terms created in the ancient period of the development of grammatical thought in Ukraine was mainly investigated as a result of the translation and shredding of the corresponding terms of the Greek-Latin grammar, with the newly created on the specific Ukrainian national basis for the terms of the period of the mid- ХІХ th and early ХХ th centuries. The conceptual the basics of creation of specific Ukrainian grammatical terms. Special attention was paid to the peculiarities of the functioning of synonyms in the period was mentioned. The role of borrowed terms-internationalisms in the development of the grammatical system of the Ukrainian language in general has been determined. Borrowing of terms is mainly due to the introduction into scientific circulation of scientific concepts that have appeared in foreign linguistics science, and their appearance in a certain terminology system always outstrips the linguistic capabilities of the recipient language, which is evidence of its development. The combination in Ukrainian of its grammatical terminology, specific, national and borrowed, international in the proportion that allows domestic science, while preserving the national basis, to reach the international level is quite justified. The article states that without such terms having an international basis such as grammar, morphology, syntax, derivative, morpheme, affix, flexion, gramma, paradigm, vocative, infinitive, predicate, comparative, valence, ascensionality, adverbialization, and many others, it is impossible to imagine a modern scientific study of the grammar of the Ukrainian language. At the same time, attention is focused on the fact that the active scientific contacts between Ukrainian and foreign scholars in certain fields of knowledge contribute to the development of common principles and traditions in the normalization of the ratio in its national terminology systems, specific and borrowed in favor of the national. В статье акцентировано внимание на идее непрерывности развития терминологической деятельности украинских грамматистов, начиная с древнейшего периода ХІV–ХVІІ ст. до современного состояния. Прослеживается взаимодействие церковнославянских грамматических терминов, созданных в древнейший период развития грамматической мысли в Украине преимущественно в результате перевода и калькирования соответствующих терминов греко-латинских грамматик, и новосозданных на исконно украинской национальной основе терминов периода средины ХІХ – начала ХХ ст. Детально охарактеризовано концептуальные принципы создания и введения в научный обиход исконно украинских грамматических терминов. Обращено особое внимание на особенности функционирования терминоединицсинонимов в исследуемый период. Определена роль заимствованных терминов- интернационализмов в развитии грамматической системы украинского языка в целом. Обосновано утверждение, что заимствования терминов в основном происходит за счет введения в научный оборот научных понятий, появившихся в зарубежной языковедческой литературе, появление которых в определенной терминосистеме всегда опережает лингвистические возможности языка-реципиента, что является свидетельством развития последней. Сочетание в украинской грамматической терминологии своего, исконного, национального, и заимствованного, интернационального, дает возможность отечественной науке, сохраняя национальную основу, выходить на международный уровень. В статье указано, что без таких терминов, имеющих интернациональную основу, как грамматика, морфология, синтаксис, дериватология, морфема, аффикс, префикс, суффикс, флексия, граммема, парадигма, вокатив, инфинитив, предикатив, компаратив, валентность, аспектуальность, адвербиализация и многих других, нельзя представить современное научное исследование по грамматике украинского языка. При этом обращено внимание на то, что активные научные контакты украинских и зарубежных ученых в определенных областях знаний способствуют выработке общих принципов и традиций в нормировании соотношения в национальных терминосистемах исконного и заимствованного в пользу национального.

У статті зосереджено увагу на питаннях становлення й унормування системи морфологійних термінів, які були запроваджені українськими граматистами ХХ – початку ХХІ ст.. Звернено увагу на процеси вироблення термінів на позначення частин мови і граматичних категорій на живомовній народній основі та їхню конкуренцію на шляху нормативного закріплення в сучасній українській морфологійній термінології, простежено динаміку становлення морфологійної термінопідсистеми. The article focuses on the issues of formation and normalization of the system of morphological terms, which were introduced by Ukrainian grammarians of the 20th and early 21st centuries. Attention is paid to the processes of developing terms to denote parts of the language and grammatical categories on a vernacular basis and their competition on the way to normative consolidation in modern Ukrainian morphological terminology, the dynamics of the formation of the morphological term subsystem is traced.

У статті простежуються шляхи становлення й унормування в українській морфологічній термінології термінів на позначення дієслова, його форм і граматичних категорій протягом визначального періоду в історії розвитку граматичної думки в Україні – XX – поч. XXI cт. The article traces the ways of formation and regulation in the Ukrainian morphological terminology the terms for designation of the verb, its forms and grammatical categories during the defining period in the history of development of the grammatical thought in Ukraine – during XX century up to the beginning of the XXI century.

У статті зосереджено увагу на одному з аспектів мовознавчої діяльності А. Кримського – питанні вироблення й уведення до наукового обігу морфологійних термінів як невід’ємного складника української граматичної термінології, а також визначено роль, яку відіграла «Українська граматика для учнів вищих класів гімназій і семінарій Придніпров’я» (1907–1908 рр.) у справі нормалізації української морфологійної термінології на початку ХХ ст. і в подальші періоди. Простежено вироблення термінів на позначення частин мови і граматичних категорій на живомовній народній основі, процеси їхньої конкуренції на шляху нормативного закріплення в сучасній українській морфологійній термінології. The article focuses on one of the aspects of A. Krymskyi’s linguistic activity – development and implementation of morphological terms into scientific circulation as an integral part of Ukrainian grammatical terminology. The work of the scientist “Ukrainian grammar for students of higher classes of gymnasiums and seminaries of the Dnieper Region” (1907–1908) played an important role on normalization of Ukrainian morphological terminology. In the respective research, the stages of development of terms for parts of speech and grammatical categories on a vernacular basis, the processes of their competition on the way to normative consolidation in modern Ukrainian morphological terminology are traced. A. Krymskyi initiated the scientific research of the grammatical system of the language, raised the most important problem of term formation by Ukrainian grammarians – the ratio of borrowed and native Ukrainian terms. The grammar material offers terms for the grammatic designation of gender category (a four-grammatic composition, as in the modern Ukrainian language): masculine gender, feminine gender, neuter gender, and common gender. A linguist developed a seven-component system of cases – nominative, genitive, dative, accusative, vocative, instrumental and locative, which have entered modern scientific terminology unchanged. Some terms for parts of speech (numeral, verb) have also become generally accepted in the modern morphological term subsystem. The terminological material of the grammar testified to the distinct tendency of its author to create his own national terminology on a folk basis. Grammar had a great influence on the formation of grammatical thought in Ukraine, contributed to the enrichment of grammatical theory due to the introduction of new term units into scientific circulation.

Транспозиційні процеси в межах українського дієслова та прислівника (поняттєво-термінологійний аспект)

Стаття присвячена питанням поповнення складу лінгвістичної терміносистеми, перегляду з позицій функційно-категорійної граматики частиномовного статусу морфологійних одиниць. Зосереджено увагу на особливостях транспозиційних явищ у структурі українського дієслова та прислівника. Зроблено акцент на різновидах і ступенях міжчастиномовної транспозиції, питаннях усталення, кодифікаційного закріплення в науковому обігу нових термінів на позначення явищ вербалiзацiї та адвербалізації, на інтернаціональному характерові зазначених термінів. The article addresses the enrichment of the linguistic terminological system and revisits the part-of-speech status of morphological units from the standpoint of functional-categorial grammar. The focus is placed on the specifics of transpositional phenomena within the structure of Ukrainian verbs and adverbs. Particular attention is given to the types and degrees of inter-categorial transposition, the issues of standardization and codification of newly introduced terms in scholarly discourse that designate the processes of verbalization and adverbialization, as well as the international nature of these terms. The article identifies productive and unproductive types of verbalizations and adverbialization. To denote the varieties and degrees of inter-partial transposition in modern grammatical literature, termsinternationalisms are mainly used, which are based on Greco-Latin roots. All the analyzed terms replenish the linguistic terminological system with new units. As for the varieties of transposition, no own terms have been developed in Ukrainian studies to denote them. Raising the issue of organizing Ukrainian scientific terminology as early as the beginning of the 20th century, grammarians paid considerable attention to the assimilation of borrowed terms, especially internationalisms. The terms proposed in modern studies to denote intertransitive processes in the structure of the verb and adverb, which accompany the functioning of morphological units, are semantically motivated, since they ensure clarity and transparency of terminological definition.
