Abstract
Security risks to persons and property in the modern world have caused the emergence and development of the private security sector, which today represents a very important part of the security system in each country.The author reviews the historical development of the private security sector in Serbia, provides an overview of its current state, and points out the importance and role of security management in the development of standards in business in this sector.
