dc.description.abstractУ статті розглядається актуальна проблема залучення іноземних інвестицій, що є важливим фактором економічного зростання та розвитку для країн, які прагнуть інтегруватися до Європейського Союзу (ЄС). Автор досліджує вплив перспектив вступу країни-реципієнта до ЄС на динаміку іноземних інвестицій, звертаючи особливу увагу на досвід країн Східної та Центральної Європи, які приєдналися до ЄС у рамках П’ятого та Шостого Розширення. Висновки ґрунтуються на аналізі економічних, політичних та інституційних змін, які супроводжували процес інтеграції цих країн. У статті висвітлюється взаємозв’язок між інтеграційними процесами, інвестиційною діяльністю та довгостроковими перспективами економічного розвитку. Доведено, що перспектива вступу до ЄС може стати важливим стимулом для зростання довіри іноземних інвесторів. Проте, зазначається, що такий позитивний ефект не є автоматичним наслідком лише оголошення планів на вступ. Необхідною умовою є виконання значного обсягу підготовчої роботи: імплементація європейських стандартів, реформування економіки та створення сприятливого інвестиційного клімату, швидке завершення процесу вступу до Спільноти. Особлива увага приділяється необхідності стратегічного підходу до залучення іноземних інвестицій. Автор акцентує, що інвестиції повинні спрямовуватися на пріоритетні сектори економіки, які можуть забезпечити найбільшу віддачу для країни-реципієнта та підсилити її конкурентоспроможність. Також зазначається, що участь у групових розширеннях ЄС вимагає від країни зусиль для забезпечення провідної позиції серед інших кандидатів, оскільки лідерство в процесі інтеграції позитивно впливає на інвестиційну привабливість. Крім того, наголошується на важливості забезпечення економічної спроможності до абсорбції іноземного капіталу. Це потребує проведення макроекономічних реформ, зміцнення інституцій, розвитку науково-технічного потенціалу тощо. The article examines the urgent problem of attracting foreign investment, which is an important factor of economic growth and development for countries seeking to integrate into the European Union (EU). The author examines the impact of the recipient country's accession prospects on the dynamics of foreign investment, paying special attention to the experience of Eastern and Central European countries that joined the EU within the framework of the Fifth and Sixth Enlargement. The conclusions are based on the analysis of economic, political and institutional changes that accompanied the integration process of these countries. The article highlights the relationship between integration processes, investment activity and long-term prospects for economic development. It is proved that the prospect of joining the EU can be an important stimulus for the growth of foreign investors' confidence. However, it is noted that such a positive effect is not an automatic consequence of the mere announcement of accession plans. A prerequisite is the implementation of a significant amount of preparatory work: implementation of European standards, economic reforms and creation of a favourable investment climate, and the rapid completion of the accession process. Particular attention is paid to the need for a strategic approach to attracting foreign investment. The author emphasises that investments should be directed to priority sectors of the economy that can provide the greatest return for the recipient country and strengthen its competitiveness. It is also noted that participation in group enlargements of the EU requires the country to make efforts to ensure a leading position among other candidates, as leadership in the integration process has a positive impact on investment attractiveness. In addition, the importance of ensuring the economic capacity to absorb foreign capital is emphasised. This requires macroeconomic reforms, strengthening of institutions, development of scientific and technical potential, etc.
