Abstract
Product portfolio management is a strategic choice made by management to implement the
organization's business strategy. As part of this process, it is necessary to determine which products, markets and
technologies are priorities and what share of each of them is possible. Product portfolio management plays an
important role in maintaining the company's competitiveness, which is an integral part of market success. Focusing
on the consumer and meeting his needs makes it relevant to consider and implement a portfolio approach to
corporate governance. The active policy of retailers to increase the range of products requires the development of
a product management system in order to achieve economic efficiency. Consumer preferences and expectations are
an important factor of influence that shapes the attitude to a particular market player.
