Abstract
The bachelor's thesis is devoted to the study of gold's function as world money. The thesis analyzes the theoretical foundations of the development of global markets for monetary instruments and the development of global markets for monetary instruments. The author identifies the producing countries that create supply (such as Australia and China), while demand is formed mainly by central banks. It is analyzed that the price of gold increases with a decrease in the country's real GDP growth rate and increases with the growth of the US stock market indices. Effective instruments of influence on gold, such as the dynamics of the Dow Jones index, have been identified. On the basis of the study, recommendations for improving the efficiency of gold circulation management in the Ukrainian economy are proposed.
Бакалаврська робота присвячена дослідженню виконання золотом функцій світових грошей. У роботі проаналізовано теоретичні засади розвитку світових ринків грошово-кредитних інструментів та розвитку світових ринків монетарних інструментів. Визначено, країни-виробники, що створюють пропозицію (такі як Австралія, Китай), тоді як попит формують переважно центральні банки. Проаналізовано, що ціна на золото зростає при зниженні темпів зростання реального ВВП країни, та підвищується при зростанні індексів фондового ринку США. Виявлено ефективні інструменти впливу на золото, такі як динаміка індексу Dow Jones. На основі проведеного дослідження запропоновано рекомендації щодо підвищення ефективності управління золотим обігом в економіці України.
