Abstract
The implementation of international criteria and indicators of sustainable tourism requires deep knowledge of different systems, their advantages, and their benefits. The designed and practiced approaches need adjustment to the context of Ukraine and the initial profiling of destinations. The bottom-up efforts of tourism management at the destination level following the elaborated scientific and practical recommendations signal the governance and public authorities about the feasibility of recovering tourism in Ukraine on sustainability grounds.
