When it comes to the higher education sector (HE), initiatives and measures to tackle refugee crises have been long in place and institutionalized on national and European level; indicatively, EU policies for the HE sector regarding refugee inclusion exist for decades (European Commission, European Education Area, n.d.). In contrast, actions carried out by the corporate sector are not mapped extensively, nor have been coordinated on national or European level. The present paper explores the uncharted field of business support actions to tackle the Ukrainian refugee crisis in Europe, by taking the Baltic countries as an example. In doing so, we explore the capacity of the corporate sector to collaborate with academia and civil society to jointly address the refugee emergency. The paper presents the analysis of 100 actions that have been identified and categorized based on a typology of actions for a social purpose. The main purpose of the research conducted is to create a methodological approach to the assessment and improvement of the integrated development efficiency of the Ukrainian light industry enterprises on the grounds of key determinants identification. For ensuring an extensive and systematic approach in this study, a three-step methodological base has been adopted. The interpretation and synthesis of high-quality data through sifting and sorting materials on key issues and subject matter of enterprise development in the context of integration have been conducted. The tendencies of development of the Ukrainian light industry enterprises have been analyzed to identify the key determinants. An assessment of their impact on the performance of integrated enterprise development has been made. The conducted research used the dialectical, structural and analytical as well as structural and functional analysis as a methodological tool. Methods for multicriteria analysis were used to determine the impact of the identified determinants, in particular, the calculation of the multivariate utility function and the normalization of determining factors. The article shows the results of the analysis of the light industry enterprises development with the help of such key determinants as providing of their own raw materials, availability of specialized mechanical engineering, repair base, properly qualified personnel, operating enterprises development. The integrated development of fifteen light industry enterprises has been diagnosed with the help of such main determinants as financial and resource support, intellectual and innovative potential, economic security, risk level, self-integration, the synergistic effect of integrated business processes. A group of enterprises has been identified, which the development level in the context of its integration is lower than estimated by the methods of classical performance diagnostics at the present stage. The group of enterprises has been identified, where integration processes are effective and have prospects for development. It is established that the integrated development implementation, due account being taken of the full complex of its determinants will promote greater usefulness and efficiency of the studied light industry enterprises functioning. The results of the conducted study can be useful for the efficiency improvement of domestic enterprises based on the integration. Дана стаття узагальнює аргументи та контраргументи в межах наукового дискурсу з проблематики інтегрованості розвитку підприємств у сучасних ринкових умовах господарювання. Основною метою проведеного дослідження є формування методичного підходу до оцінювання і підвищення ефективності інтегрованого розвитку підприємств легкої промисловості України на засадах ідентифікації ключових детермінант. Для забезпечення широкого і систематичного підходу в даному дослідженні було прийнято трьохетапну методичну основу: по-перше, проведено інтерпретацію і синтез якісних даних шляхом просіювання і сортування матеріалів з ключових питань і тематики розвитку підприємств у контексті інтегрованості; по-друге, проаналізовано тенденції розвитку підприємств легкої промисловості України з метою ідентифікації ключових детермінант; по-третє, проведено оцінювання їх впливу на результативність інтегрованого розвитку підприємств. Методичним інструментарієм проведеного дослідження використано діалектичний та структурно-аналітичний, а також структурно-функціональний аналізи. Для визначення впливу ідентифікованих детермінант використано методи багатокритеріального аналізу, зокрема, розрахунок багатофакторної функції корисності і нормалізація визначених факторів.В статті наведено результати емпіричного аналізу розвитку підприємств легкої промисловості за такими ключовими детермінантами, як забезпечення власною сировиною, наявність спеціалізованого машинобудування, ремонтної бази, відповідного кваліфікованого персоналу, розвитку функціонуючих підприємств. Здійснено діагностику інтегрованого розвитку п’ятнадцяти підприємств легкої промисловості за такими визначеними основними детермінантами, як фінансове та ресурсне забезпечення, інтелектуальний та інноваційний потенціал, економічна безпека, рівень ризиків, самоінтегрованість, синергетичний ефект інтегрованих бізнес-процесів. Для визначення впливу даних детермінант використано методи багатокритеріального аналізу, зокрема, багатофакторну функцію корисності та нормалізацію індикаторів за результатами діагностики. Визначено групу підприємств, для якої на сучасному етапі рівень розвитку в контексті його інтегрованості є нижчим, ніж оцінений за методами класичної діагностики результативності діяльності. Також виокремлено компанії, на яких процеси інтегрованості є ефективними і мають перспективу розвитку. Встановлено, що впровадження інтегрованого розвитку з урахуванням повного комплексу його детермінант сприятиме підвищенню корисності та результативності функціонування досліджуваних підприємств легкої промисловості. Methods. The methodological toolkit for the effectiveness evaluation of integrated development of the enterprise is based on an integral indicator subject to the economic, organizational, informational and innovative integration modules. To undertake the study, 30 Ukrainian light industry enterprises were selected. The development diagnostics was carried out for each of them according to the key performance indicators and an integral indicator of the business development level was determined. Results. Seven groups of the enterprises were formed, and resulting from their integrated development, an increase in its level was received at all companies. The highest development growth was recorded at such companies as Orion, Kalyna, Lybid, Shovkova nytka and Lileya. These companies can significantly improve performance, through their development integration. A feature of the proposed orbital-based methodology is the stimulation of the development level increasing of both an individual enterprise and the industry as a whole, since less developed companies do not reduce the development level of others, but reach a higher level due to integration with the similar economic entities. Conclusions. The proposed orbital-based methodology implies the stimulation of the development level increasing of both an individual enterprise and the industry as a whole. It allows comprehensively to assess the enterprise`s performance by individual modules; to identify and compare the alternative development options; to determine deviations in the process of its functioning and to make adjustments to activities on time. The proposed methodological approach is based on the formation of an integrated financial security indicator and its regression model. The study is based on 16 textile enterprises in the European Union. Integral indicators on capital structure, current financing sufficiency and financial efficiency of the investigated enterprises have been defined according to the rapid diagnostics of financial provision of the textile enterprises. The state of financial support for the studied companies’ development has been evaluated. It has been established that the development of textile enterprises depends to a large extent on their financial support as a whole. The change in the development level of companies depends substantially on the change in the integrated indicator of their financial provision. In particular, textile enterprises’ development is significantly affected by the capital structure and the predominance of equity in it, as well as current financing. The financial efficiency factors taken into account do not have a significant impact on the development of textile enterprises. This study proposes a financial security model, developed by partial integrated indicators. Utilizing a qualitative research framework, the study focuses on a series of case studies to illustrate the transformative power of academia-business partnerships in fostering innovation, resilience, and societal progress, particularly in crisis contexts. These collaborations have been vital in addressing the immediate and long-term needs arising from the Russian-Ukrainian war, showcasing a diverse range of support actions including educational, psychological, and employment assistance. Results indicate a significant regional effort towards crisis response. The study highlights the importance of such synergies in crisis management and resilience building, recommending the formalization of partnerships, inclusion of affected individuals in initiative planning, and continuous adaptation and evaluation of actions. У статті розглядаються спільні зусилля балтійських університетів та бізнесу, спрямовані на підтримку України в умовах триваючої кризи. Використовуючи якісну методологію дослідження, автор зосереджується на низці конкретних прикладів, які ілюструють трансформаційну силу партнерства між академічними колами та бізнесом у сприянні інноваціям, стійкості та суспільному прогресу, особливо в кризових ситуаціях. Ця співпраця була життєво важливою для задоволення нагальних і довгострокових потреб, що виникли внаслідок російсько-української війни, демонструючи різноманітні заходи підтримки, включаючи освітню, психологічну допомогу та допомогу у працевлаштуванні. Результати свідчать про значні регіональні зусилля, спрямовані на реагування на кризу. І.; Morkunas, M.; Моркунас, М.The main purpose of this article is to study the fluctuation management of financial and economic performance of innovative enterprises’ activity comprehensively in the context of their effective integrated development. The study found that achieving a high level of management of integrated enterprise development by fluctuation indicators, is possible when evaluating the effectiveness of functioning on the basis of a range of methods of improvement the quality management of integrated development of the enterprise on the fluctuation indicators, resource allocation in order to reduce the level of fluctuation of expectations in the process of integrated development between enterprise and stakeholders using a set of basic and additional features to ensure efficiency of the development management at a high level and corresponding changes in key indicators, as well as maintain the balance in the form of alternatives in the disturbing effects of internal and external environmental factors of the enterprise. The life cycle of fluctuation of key indicators of integrated development of the enterprise with separation of three zones of fluctuation of key indicators of integrated development are considered: synchronicity, pleziochrony, disintegration, as well as opposite fluctuations of key indicators, depending on their parity level (low, medium, high) and stages of the cycle. The sources of financing of innovative activity of industrial enterprises are analysed. The results of the conducted researches were used to construct the synchrony matrix of the processes of integrated development of innovative enterprises taking into consideration the fluctuation of key financial and economic indicators. It is determined that Ukraine has considerable potential for innovation activity, however, there are many problems arising in the way of activation and realization of innovative activity of domestic companies. It is established that the management of fluctuation of financial and economic indicators of the integrated development of innovative enterprises will help to increase the efficiency of their activity and to integrate the processes of development both within the company and beyond. The ways of solving the problems of integrated development of domestic innovative enterprises are suggested. Основна мета цієї статті полягає у комплексному дослідженні управління флуктуацією фінансово-економічних показників діяльності інноваційних підприємств у контексті їхнього результативного інтегрованого розвитку. В ході дослідження було встановлено, що досягнення високого рівня управління iнтегрованим розвитком підприємства за показниками флуктуації можливе при оцінюванні результативності функціонування на основі комплексу методів підвищення якості управління інтегрованим розвитком підприємства за показниками флуктуації, розподілу ресурсів з метою зниження рівня флуктуації очікувань у процесі інтегрованого розвитку між підприємством і зацікавленими сторонами з використанням комплексу базових і додаткових функцій забезпечення ефективності управління розвитком на високому рівні і відповідних змін ключових індикаторів, а також збереження балансу у формі альтернативних варіантів розвитку при збурювальних впливах зовнішніх і внутрішніх факторів середовища діяльності підприємства. Розглянуто життєвий цикл флуктуації ключових індикаторів інтегрованого розвитку підприємства з виокремленням трьох зон флуктуації ключових індикаторів інтегрованого розвитку: синхронності, плезіохронності, дезінтеграції, а також протилежних флуктуації ключових індикаторів, залежно від рівня їхнього паритету (низький, середній, високий) та етапів циклу. Проаналізовано джерела фінансування інноваційної діяльності промислових підприємств. Результати проведених досліджень використано для побудови матриці синхронності процесів інтегрованого розвитку інноваційних підприємств з урахуванням флуктуації ключових фінансово-економічних індикаторів. Визначено, що Україна має суттєвий потенціал для здійснення інноваційної діяльності, проте існує безліч проблем, які виникають на шляху активізації та реалізації інноваційної діяльності вітчизняних компаній. Установлено, що управління флуктуацією фінансово-економічних показників інтегрованого розвитку інноваційних підприємств сприятиме підвищенню результативності їхньої діяльності та інтегруванню процесів розвитку як усередині компанії, так і за її межами. Запропоновано шляхи розв’язання проблем інтегрованого розвитку вітчизняних інноваційних підприємств. Основная цель данной статьи: комплексное исследование управления флуктуацией финансово-экономических показателей деятельности инновационных предприятий в контексте их результативного интегрированного развития. В ходе исследования установлено, что достижение высокого уровня управления развитием предприятия по показателям флуктуации возможно при соблюдении трех ключевых принципов: оценке результативности, ресурсном регулировании и сохранении устойчивости. Рассмотрен жизненный цикл флуктуации ключевых индикаторов интегрированного развития предприятия. Проанализированы источники финансирования инновационной деятельности предприятий. Сформировано матрицу синхронности процессов интегрированного развития инновационных предприятий с учетом флуктуации ключевых финансово-экономических индикаторов. The methodological research toolkit includes developing an integration map, and modelling and forecasting the results of integrated development. The proposed approach enables the comprehensive evaluation of companies' integration parameters and modelling of their future effectiveness. This comprehensive evaluation helps to justify the effectiveness of management decisions and increase the quality of integrated enterprise development, as well as their performance as a whole. Based on the formed map of enterprise integration, groups of enterprises were identified: forwards, strikers, defenders, and outsiders. Using integrated development modelling, the potential quality level of a 1% cost increase in integrated development and the volumes of product sales of the surveyed companies was determined with regard to the group distribution for the period up to 2025. A considerable increase in the efficiency of integrated development is provided for the forward companies. The research seeks to understand the impact of smart business models, driven by technology, entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices, on the resilience and growth of these regions, especially considering the challenges posed by the ongoing war in Ukraine. The research utilizes a comprehensive index of smart business models based on the entropy method. Modelling and forecasting were conducted using three scenarios involving Markov chains. The study allows us to understand which components of smart business models have the greatest impact on the recovery of the EU and Ukraine and how they can improve their metrics to stimulate innovation and digital transformation. The research identified a group of indicators related to sustainability and social responsibility as the most significant for the application of smart business models. It highlights how these innovative models, driven by cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices, offer a path to economic rejuvenation and long-term stability. The article emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts between the EU and Ukraine, aligning policies and fostering cooperation. Ultimately, it advocates for innovation, collaboration, and resilience as the means to overcome adversity and forge a prosperous future for both regions. Досліджується потенціал інтегрованих смартбізнес-моделей у сприянні відновленню Європейського Союзу та України, які дуже постраждали від конфлікту, що триває. Дослідження заглиблюється в перетин технологій, підприємництва та сталих практик, а також спільних стратегій, які можуть підвищити економічну стійкість. Автори використовують комплексний індекс розумних бізнес-моделей, заснований на ентропійному методі. Моделювання та прогнозування було проведене за трьома сценаріями з використанням ланцюгів Маркова. Дослідження дозволяє зрозуміти, які компоненти смартбізнес-моделей мають найбільший вплив на відновлення ЄС та України і як вони можуть покращити свої показники для стимулювання інновацій та цифрової трансформації. Дослідження визначило групу показників, пов'язаних зі стійкістю та соціальною відповідальністю, як найбільш значущих для застосування смартбізнес-моделей. Автори підкреслюють, що ці інноваційні моделі, засновані на передових технологіях і сталих практиках, пропонують шлях до економічного оновлення та довгострокової стабільності. Також автоои наголошуть на необхідності спільних зусиль між ЄС та Україною, на узгодженні політик та сприянні співпраці. The study is based on the materials of 21 motor transport companies in Ukraine. The methodological toolkit is based on the proposed polyfactorial 3D model with the implementation of correlation, regression and cluster analysis. The use of the strategy for the innovation process development of the motor transport enterprise with the introduction of focus on the asymmetry of its directions increases efficiency, which becomes equal to the benchmark or close to the maximum efficient value.Item Towards financing system of integrated enterprise development in the time of COVID-19 outbreak(MDPI, 2022) Boichenko, Kateryna; Бойченко, Катерина Степанівна; Бойченко, Екатерина Степановна; Gherghina, Stefan Cristian; Abreu, António; Mata, Mário NunoThe development of an enterprise under current conditions requires an integrated approach and an appropriate financing system. The purpose of this study is to justify the replication model of financing the integrated enterprise development. The research methodology suggests that each enterprise has its own development “genome”, which makes it possible to apply the replication of its directions based on a justified financing system of such an integration. The proposed replication model is augmented by regression analysis, which made it possible to carry out scenario forecasting of alternative options for the company’s development. The conduction of the study is based on 16 textile enterprises. The formed map of the integrated enterprise development enabled the determination of their points to replicate resources in four directions (environmental and economic, innovative, informational, and organizational). The interaction of companies on the basis of strengths diffusion (exchange of potential) with the application of financial netting is considered an alternative to replication. The research proved that an alternative option can solely be recommended for developed companies and requires the identification and minimization of risks. The strong link between the level of integrated and overall development of companies was acknowledged. Asymmetry of business development in the context of a replication model of its integration enables the achievement of high results while minimizing financial resources. Enterprises implementing the replication model of integration considerably improve their prospects and increase overall development performance. Запропоновано методичний підхід, який дозволяє провести діагностику гармонізації розвитку компаній на основі визначеного комплексу показників на основі векторної моделі. Кореляційний аналіз дозволив визначити, що інтегрування розвитку в довоєнний період мало найбільш суттєвий взаємозв’язок з цифровізацією бізнесу. Проведений факторний аналіз дозволив ідентифікувати найбільш впливові напрями розвитку та змоделювати можливості підвищення його рівня на засадах інтегрованості. Доведено, що в період ліквідації наслідків воєнного конфлікту для українських компаній пріоритетним напрямом інтегрування має бути інклюзивне зростання, залучення знань і технологій. This study aims to develop a methodological approach to diagnose the quality of business development based on the asymmetry of its integration in the process of warfare elimination. A methodological approach is proposed, which allows diagnosing the harmonization of companies’ development on the basis of a certain set of indicators based on a vector model. It involves determining the level of asymmetry of embedded business development. Integral indicators such as the level of digitalization of business, inclusive growth and knowledge involvement were used as key development indicators in this study. According to the proposed approach, this study diagnoses the level of asymmetry of integrated development, taking into account the angle between the vector based on certain indicators and its reference value. The proposed approach was approbated on the example of companies in the light industry of Ukraine, which is parti- cularly important for the provision of the population with basic necessities. Correlation analysis revealed that the integration of development in the pre-war period had the most significant relationship with the digitalization of business. The factor analysis performed allowed to identify the most influential areas of development and to model the possibilities of increasing its level on the basis of integration. The simulation proves that the proposed methodological approach to harmonization of development allows not only to assess its level, but also to generate proposals to correct the asymmetry of integration. This result is possible by focusing on the growth of inclusive business and the attraction of knowledge. However, it should be noted that, thanks to the proposed approach, it is the companies with the highest asymmetry of integration that can achieve the greatest success.
