The influence of the patristic tradition on the forming of philosophical views of Ostrog representatives of the book culture is researched in the article on the texts of such philosophers traditionalists as Gerasim Smotritskiy, Vasiliy Surazkiy (Malyushitskiy), Vitaliy z Dubna, Ioan Vishenskiy etc. It was proved that byzantium and patristic sources were the main basis of their creativity.
