Abstract
У статті здійснено аналіз оптимальної форми державного правління України в суспільно-політичній думці ХІХ–ХХ ст. У працях В. Липинського, М. Драгоманова, М. Грушевського, І. Франка та ін. пропонуються різні варіанти майбутнього України, намагання розробити не просто теорію, а й ефективну програму розвитку національної державності та становлення базових політичних інституцій. У середовищі українських інтелектуалів були представлені як прихильники республіканської форми правління, так і віддані захисники ідеалів монархії.
In the article the analysis of optimum form of state rule of Ukraine is carried out in the social and political idea of ХІХ–ХХ items. In works V. Lipinski, M. Dragomanova, M. Grushevskogo, I. Franko and other is different variants of the future of Ukraine are offered, but the aspiration to develop not simply theory, and the effective program of development of national statehood and formation of base political institutes. Among the Ukrainian intellectuals were presented both adherents of a republican form of government, and the convinced defenders of ideals of a monarchy.
