Культурний та креативний імперативи економічного зростання

Abstract

Економічні досягнення провідних країн можуть бути зразками для наслідування, проте питання полягає в тому наскільки дієвими вони виявляться насправді. Відповідь на це питання лежить у культурній площині. Зазначимо, що кожна країна має свій унікальний культурний ландшафт, якій визначає траєкторію її розвитку, тому важливо визначити які культурні норми впливають на економічне зростання, а також знайти чинники, що його стримуватимуть. У сфері міжкультурних досліджень використовуються різні концепції оцінки культурних особливостей, зокрема Е. Гола, Р. Льюїса, Ґ. Гофстеда, Р. Інґлгарта, М. Гельфанд залежно від академічних сфер. Синтез концепцій дає змогу виявити та максимально використовувати їх переваги для аналізу особливостей економічного зростання різних країн. Водночас різниця підходів до аналізу культур робить їх взаємодоповнюваними, що допомагає краще оцінити культурні відмінності країн та цінності, котрі сприятимуть зростанню. The economic achievements of leading countries can be role models, but the question is how effective they are. The answer to this issue lies in the cultural sphere. Let us note that each country has its unique landscape, which determines the development trajectory, so it is principal to define what cultural norms affect economic growth, along with factors that will restrain it. In the field of intercultural research, dominant concepts of cultural characteristics are used, in particular, E. Hall, R. Lewis, G. Hofstede, R. Inglehart, and M. Gelfand, depending on academic fields. The concept synthesis makes it possible to identify and maximize their benefits for the economic growth analysis of different countries. At the same time, the difference in cultural analysis approaches makes them complementary, which helps us a sight better interpret the cultural differences and values that will promote growth.Culture becomes critical in a bad-governed state and weak institutions. Today, the fact of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is added to these factors. It becomes evident that Ukrainians defend not only territorial integrity, social order, but also culture, values, language, and historical memory.Ukrainians have strong freedom values with powerful historical roots. Freedom is necessary for prosperity. This cultural attitude stimulates creativity and ingenuity and is a source of innovative development. At the same time, the line between liberty and permissiveness is indistinct. Сulture becomes the restriction of freedom, the framework that prevents the transition to chaos. That is why it is considerable to analyze cultural norms and assess their impact on the social and economic development.
