Abstract
Без створення ефективної системи захисту населення, основною складовою якої є державне соціальне страхування, неможлива розбудова життєздатної демократичної, соціальної та правової держави. Слід зазначити, що процес реформування у сфері соціального страхування в Україні ще триває. В Україні діє національна система загальнообов’язкового соціального страхування, яка впливає не лише на рівень соціальної захищеності населення, а й впливає на ефективність діяльності підприємств через матеріальне забезпечення та охорону здоров’я працівників.
Обов’язкове державне соціальне страхування забезпечує необхідні економічні умови для підтримки працездатності економічно активної частини населення, надання матеріальної підтримки та соціальних послуг потребуючим, якщо це передбачено законодавством. Отже, система соціального страхування є однозначно ефективним механізмом державного управління соціально-економічними процесами в Україні.
Одним із важливих інструментів соціальної політики є соціальне страхування – фундаментальна основа національної системи соціального забезпечення, що забезпечує матеріальну підтримку та підтримку непрацездатних громадян за рахунок фондів, організованих працездатним населенням країни. Саме діяльність Фондів соціального страхування стає важливим елементом в забезпеченні соціального захисту.

It is the activity of the Social Insurance Funds that becomes an important element in ensuring social protection.
