| dc.description.abstract | This article is devoted to the evolution of the economic category of "investment", as well as the definition of its essence, taking into account existing approaches to the interpretation of this concept. The contribution of various economic schools to the development of the theory of investments, justification of their role in the reproduction process is considered in the article.
