dc.description.abstractThe article interprets principal scientific ideas concerning the moral development and moral reasoning of Lawrence Kohlberg, an American psychologist and philosopher. The main periods of the scientist’s life and activity are recalled. The influence of Jean Piaget’s ideas (concerning cognitive reasoning) on the experimental work is determined. The basic aspects of Kohlberg’s stages of moral development theory are shaped. The ways of further scientific investigation on the given subject are outlined.uk_UA
