Harmonization of financial instruments in the context of Ukraine’s European integration

| dc.description.abstract | У даній статті розглянуто сутність та класифікаційні ознаки фінансових інструментів у міжнародній та національній практиці, а також охарактеризовані підходи, які закріплені у Міжнародних стандартах фінансової звітності, Системі національних рахунків, законодавстві України та наукових працях зарубіжних і вітчизняних дослідників. Проаналізовано особливості правового регулювання та економічного змісту фінансових активів, зобов’язань, інструментів власного капіталу й похідних інструментів, їх вплив на фінансову стабільність і інвестиційну привабливість підприємств. Особлива увага приділена методам оцінки фінансових інструментів, їх класифікації за ризиком, ліквідністю та строком обігу, а також сучасним підходам до обліку та розкриття інформації у фінансовій звітності. Визначено сучасні тенденції розвитку фінансового ринку України в контексті імплементації норм Європейського Союзу (надалі також — ЄС), зокрема положень Директиви MiFID II та Регламенту MiFIR, які будуть сприяти підвищенню прозорості ринку та захисту прав інвесторів. В статті виокремлено перспективи застосування інноваційних фінансових інструментів в аграрному секторі, що полягають у випуску аграрних облігацій, страхових деривативів та зелених фінансових продуктів, які здатні забезпечити стабільність доходів та залучення додаткового капіталу для розвитку сільськогосподарських підприємств, що в результаті буде сприяти модернізації технологій виробництва. В результаті проведеного дослідження було доведено, що гармонізація національної системи фінансових інструментів у симбіозі з європейськими стандартами є необхідною умовою для успішної інтеграції України до єдиного фінансового простору ЄС, що в свою чергу призведе до підвищення конкурентоспроможності аграрного сектору та зміцнення макроекономічної стійкості держави. Визначено, що комплексне впровадження сучасних фінансових механізмів дозволить створити ефективну систему підтримки аграрних підприємств, забезпечити їх доступ до кредитних ресурсів та інвестицій, а також шляхом підвищення конкурентоздатності збільшити привабливість української продукції на міжнародних ринках. This article examines the essence and classification characteristics of financial instruments in international and national practice and outlines the approaches enshrined in International Financial Reporting Standards, the System of National Accounts, the legislation of Ukraine, and the scholarly works of foreign and domestic researchers. The features of legal regulation and the economic substance of financial assets, liabilities, equity instruments, and derivatives are analyzed, along with their impact on financial stability and the investment attractiveness of enterprises. Particular attention is paid to methods for valuing financial instruments, their classification by risk, liquidity, and maturity, as well as contemporary approaches to accounting and disclosure in financial statements. The study identifies current trends in the development of Ukraine’s financial market in the context of implementing European Union (hereinafter also the EU) regulations, in particular the provisions of the MiFID II Directive and the MiFIR Regulation, which are expected to enhance market transparency and protect investors’ rights. The article highlights prospects for the use of innovative financial instruments in the agricultural sector, including the issuance of agricultural bonds, insurance derivatives, and green financial products capable of ensuring income stability and attracting additional capital for the development of agricultural enterprises, thereby contributing to the modernization of production technologies. As a result of the research, it is demonstrated that harmonization of the national system of financial instruments in synergy with European standards is a necessary condition for Ukraine’s successful integration into the EU’s single financial space, which, in turn, will increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector and strengthen the state’s macroeconomic resilience. It is determined that the comprehensive implementation of modern financial mechanisms will make it possible to create an effective support system for agricultural enterprises, ensure their access to credit resources and investment, and, by enhancing competitiveness, increase the attractiveness of Ukrainian products in international markets. | |
