Abstract
In this work, the evolution of project management, stages and standards of PM were examined; the international organizations, playing an important role in standardizing project activities, and differences in their approaches were illustrated. The paper proposes a list of project management tools, practices and mechanisms to systematize and structure project activities. For better perception, all the above data was also presented in the form of a project analysis of one of the departments the division of GC UTS as an international company - a distributor of chemical raw materials. It was concluded that the introduction of modern methods and tools, as well as training programs to improve project management, allow international large enterprises to significantly increase their revenues.
