Abstract
The author examines the essence and features of ensuring social security in the context of the modern political reality of the Ukrainian state. The author summarizes the main challenges and threats to the social security of the state in conditions of political instability. Social security is analyzed as an important component of the state's national security. The author briefly considers the importance of social security in the social and political life of Ukraine. Social security is considered as a system of protection of social needs of the interests of the individual and society as a whole. The social policy of any democratic state is aimed at ensuring adequate the level of social protection of a person. The author analyzes consequences of social risks and threats to social security in the context of new domestic political realities in the conditions of martial law and European integration processes. Summarizes that in modern conditions, risks in the field of national security are constantly growing. The generalizations of the author of the article make it possible to identify risks for Ukrainian social security society in the context of modern political changes. The author of the article points to a significant deterioration in the quality of life population and the growing level of social tension. The article notes that the population's need for social and humanitarian support is growing in crisis conditions. Such support is provided by the international community.
