Abstract
Ukraine faces a new reality. Also, the world will no longer
be the same. There are two super challenges (hybrid macro shocks)
for the economy and society of Ukraine: the pandemic and the military
aggression of Russia against Ukraine. A combination of the conditions
and consequences of a pandemic and war with open combat
operations accompanies it. From an economic point of view, this is a
multi-shock — both on the demand and supply sides. The economic
consequences of the war are already crucial and felt in many countries
of the world. Ukraine has made its civilizational choice. It is a
European future and membership in the European Union. The current
tasks are defeating the aggressor, maintaining the macroeconomic
balance, and socio-economic development already under war
conditions to preserve the economy. The current tasks, which are
turning into strategic ones, are the restoration of the economy and the
reconstruction of the country with the international community and
partner countries. Moreover, it is urgent to preserve human potential.
