The study showed that institutional investors play a key role in the formation and development of the international stock market. Analyzing their activities, various strategies and approaches to asset allocation, risk management and selection of investment opportunities were implemented. The main factors affecting the activities of institutional investors in the international stock market include economic conditions, geopolitical risks, financial regulation and technological progress. Робота присвячена узагальненню теоретичних основ конкурентної взаємодії суб’єктів світового ринку капіталу та комплексному аналізі факторів, інструментів, моделей, тенденцій, викликів і перспектив діяльності інституційних інвесторів на міжнародному фондовому ринку. Дослідження показало, що інституційні інвестори відіграють ключову роль у формуванні та розвитку міжнародного фондового ринку. Аналізуючи їх діяльність, були реалізовані різні стратегії та підходи до розподілу активів, управління ризиками та вибору інвестиційних можливостей. Last 5 years the number of AI related publications has been growing in geometric progression with huge variety of issues raised which brings in the need for proper priority setting by inertial HE system, institutions, professionals and students. Smart development is one of best examples which could popularise the spread of AI wider usage in sectors of economy. There are challenges and promising areas of application of AI in HE identified in the paper. Finally, authors come to conclusion that it is vital to change the situation with AI literacy in global society.Item Assessment of the Impact of Digital Skills on the Level of Satisfaction with Digital Transformation Processes in Ukraine(Polissia National University, 2022) Lihonenko, Larysa; Лігоненко, Лариса Олександрівна; Antoniuk, Larysa; Антонюк, Лариса Леонтіївна; Ilnytskyi, Denys; Ільницький, Денис Олександрович; Tsyrkun, Olena; Циркун, Олена ІгорівнаThe digital transformation of the leading countries towards the neo-economy effectively uses the potential of digital competences, which remain insufficiently explored in Ukraine, but it is already clear that they are the key to the inclusive economic growth of any country, namely the post-war revival and development of Ukraine at a highly competitive level. The purpose of this study was to find the specific features of the influence of the level of digital competences (according to DigComp 2.1) on the evaluation of the prospects for building a digital economy by Ukrainian citizens, and the perception of the processes of digital transformation of the economy by stakeholders. The information base of this study included online survey data, processed using the SPSS package. Found regularities were verified using standard statistical parameters of the relationship. At the first stage, the influence of the level of digital skills on the judgments, attitudes, and expectations of respondents on the prospects of digital transformation in Ukraine and the world was found. Depending on the attitude towards the development of ICT, the archetypes of the respondents were distinguished (optimist, pragmatist, agnostic, rationalist/cautious pessimist, and sceptic). The second stage investigated the impact of digital skills on various aspects of the life of Ukrainian citizens, namely on their daily life, on them as consumers and as workers. It was found that a higher level of digital skills contributes to improving the quality of respondents’ everyday life; there is an increase in the share of respondents who use Internet resources in everyday life. The key conclusions are as follows: 1) focused efforts on the development of digital skills will contribute to an increase in the share of optimistic and pragmatic assessments of digitalisation; 2) the detected digital gap between the possession of skills and the need for them (2-3 times) actualises the implementation of policies aimed at overcoming it; 3) the awareness of the impact of the level of digital skills on the development of citizens and satisfaction with the products of the digital economy is growing; 4) the digital transformation of the economy radically changes its structure, the landscape of the labour market, and has a major impact on every citizen. Foremost, those who have an elevated level of digital skills will be able to benefit from digitalisation. Цифрова трансформація країн-лідерів у напрямку неоекономіки ефективно використовує потенціал цифрових компетенцій, які в Україні залишаються недостатньо дослідженими, але вже зараз зрозуміло, що вони є запорукою інклюзивного економічного зростання будь-якої країни, зокрема післявоєнного відродження і розвитку України на високому конкурентному рівні. Метою дослідження є виявлення особливостей впливу рівня цифрових компетенцій (відповідно до DigComp 2. 1) на оцінку українськими громадянами перспектив розбудови цифрової економіки, сприйняття стейкхолдерами процесів цифрової трансформації економіки. Інформаційним базисом роботи є дані он-лайн опитування, оброблені з використанням пакету SPSS. Виявлені закономірності перевірені за допомогою стандартних статистичних параметрів взаємозв’язку. На першому етапі ідентифіковано вплив рівня цифрових навичок на судження, настрої та очікування респондентів щодо перспектив цифрової трансформації в Україні та світі. Залежно від ставлення до розвитку ІКТ виділено архетипи респондентів (оптиміст, прагматик, агностик, раціоналіст / обережний песиміст та скептик) Доведено, що оптимістичність оцінки наслідків цифровізації залежить від рівня цифрових навичок. На другому етапі вивчався вплив цифрових навичок на різні аспекти життя українських громадян, зокрема на їх повсякденне життя, на них як на споживачів та як на працівників. Виявлено, що вищий рівень цифрових навичок сприяє покращенню якості повсякденного життя респондентів; спостерігається зростання частки респондентів, які використовують інтернет-ресурси у повсякденному житті. Ключовими висновками є: 1) цілеспрямовані зусилля з формування цифрових навичок будуть сприяти збільшенню частки оптимістичних та прагматичних оцінок цифровізації; 2) виявлений цифровий розрив між володінням навичками та потребою в них (2−3 рази) актуалізує реалізацію політики, спрямованої на його подолання 3) зростає усвідомлення впливу рівня цифрових навичок на розвиток громадян та задоволеність продукцією цифрової економіки; 4) цифрова трансформація економіки кардинально змінює її структуру, ландшафт ринку праці та чинить домінуючий вплив на кожного громадянина. The most appropriate proof of that is functioning of such public institutions as the church and universities. While in case of the church the ideological foundations are based on the key document (the Bible in Christianity, the Talmud in Judaism, the Koran in Islam etc.), for universities there is no such unambiguity. Our approach is that for universities the ideological principles should find institutionalized design in form of a document, which is often called the Code of conduct or ethical code. The Code should be positioned as a small constitution for the university and members of university community. Internal documents regulating the peculiarities of implementation of external obligations of the university and internal university-wide policies are derivatives of the Code. The diversity of practices for naming the mission, values and principles of activity, norms of behaviour affects the effectiveness of activities of institutions of higher education and their positioning within the system of social and economic institutions across the region, country and globe. The modern paradigm of development of the knowledge economy implies not only the place of universities within it, but also its constant, dynamic adjustment and search for the ways to improve its efficiency. Therefore, the research of common and special paths of drafting and implementation of the university’s Codes of conduct becomes a current task and interest. For the preparation of this work, the authors relied on research of numerous samples from different regions of the world, as well as studies of practical application of codes in general and their components. Significant regional differences in approaches to the regulation of ethical aspects have been traced. Thus, leading North-American and European universities rely on concise, up to 1 page, declaration of ethical principles. On the other hand, universities of the East-European countries take voluminous codes, which regulate many aspects, including duties of certain categories of workers and their responsibility for violation of ethical norms. Functioning of non-university business, educational and research institutions often results in adoption by communities (associations, networks, unions, etc.) of the principles and standards of behaviour, which university representatives and graduates should adhere to. Sometimes model documents are also developed, they must act as models for universities throughout the country or region. At the same time, it should be understood that the culture and management of university activities is primarily governed by internal regulatory documents. The uniqueness of institutional missions and positioning in the markets of research and educational services determine the differences in definition of ethical standards. As a result of the research, it was revealed that a number of aspects find a common solution in most examples, however, there are several components that distinguish some institutions from others. In particular, ensuring the integrity of researchers and professors unites universities, whereas the attitude to openness of science – divides. According to the results of the study, two key models of regulation of conduct of members of the university community among themselves and in relations with external stakeholders could be distinguished: the adoption of an integrated Code and the adoption of separate documents defining the mission and features of university policies. The structure of the integrated Code should include the definition of the mission and tasks of the university, values, principles and norms (standards) of the ethical behaviour of members of the university community. The obligatory components of the ethical code should also include the definition and peculiarities of behaviour in case of a conflict of interests, the implementation and administration of the Code, including the responsibilities for its violation. In addition, we consider it expedient to classify ethical standards of behaviour into two groups - general and specific ethical standards. Despite its fundamental nature, the Code should be periodically reviewed and, if necessary, made changes for the fuller realization of the university’s mission and adequately respond to new challenges. The study formed the basis for the preparation of the draft Code of Ethics of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.Item Countries on global scientific and educational map: intellectual property protection in Romania and Ukraine(Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, 2015) Ilnytskyi, Denys; Ільницький, Денис Олександрович; Ильницкий, Денис АлександровичVarious indicators are used to characterise national scientific and educational systems (SES), but they do not provide clear disposition within global knowledge economy. The paper deals with the disposition of modern national SES in Romania and Ukraine, conducts the testing of methods of building competitive maps of global scientific and educational space (SESp) using the sample of intellectual property rights (IPR) protection. The work provides reasons for choice of indicators for mapping global SESp. Analysis of correlation of these parameters with GDP per capita shows that over the past decade there was closest correlation with quality of IPR protection, which causes high competitive status of developed countries. The publication confirms the hypothesis of the need to consider the size of GDP per capita to meet the task of building of competitive market map (CMM) based on qualitative indicators. The analysis of SESp maps reveals few leaders and shows that a number of IPR protection systems are adequately implemented and functioning. Both Romania and Ukraine are found among global outsiders at the moment. It is based on the generalization of the theoretical foundations of the influence of technologies on the competitiveness of the development of global markets and a comprehensive analysis of conditions, factors, trends, results, efficiency, challenges, and prospects of digitization in the global FMCG market. The work includes assessing the importance and main growth factors of the global FMCG market, researching the foundations and progress of digital technologies in marketing, defining the main metrics and approaches to studying the impact of digital technologies, as well as forecasting future developments and potential outcomes of digital innovation in the FMCG industry. The results will reveal the essence and advantages of digital strategies for FMCG brand promotion, important for modern marketing approaches. It analyzes key aspects of the crisis, including political, social and economic factors that have caused tensions between the countries of the European Union. The study examines the theoretical foundations, factors, trends, consequences and scenarios of integration of international migration processes within the European Union. Particular attention is paid to the economic consequences of the 2015 migration crisis, revealed through the gaps in European migration policy that led to the crisis in some countries. The author analyzes the need to harmonize migration legislation with international standards and improve data collection on migration flows. The impact of migration policies on socio-economic development in North America and Ukraine is assessed. The challenges of migration system in North America and Ukraine are revealed. The strategies and perspectives of regulation of migration systems have been formed and a range of recommendations was proposed to enhance the effectiveness and adaptability of Ukraine's migration system. There is variety of tools besides well-known multinational corporate accounting policies and strategies of MNCs that provide mechanism for the management of transaction costs in reporting period, thus reducing the amount of taxable profit due to application of the method of accelerated depreciation and channels of tax deferrals, which allow to reduce corporate tax payments owing to the objective reduction of real purchasing power of money over time. The purpose of the article is to propose in-depth systematization of balanced pros and cons for further development of national FDI policies aimed at network of MNCs. The paper utilizes a compound methodology of review and systematization to calculate overall impact of offshoring that exceeds 1% of global GDP. While modern financial and economic activities of MNC’s distinguish both internal and external offshoring, the paper focuses upon endogenous one. The key attention is on dominant ones – tax inversion phenomenon is known as base erosion and profit shifting, tax planning strategies, international debt shifting, models of tax treaty shopping, tax deferral, tax hybrids, strategic transfer pricing tools. In business and financial management MNCs resort to the development of extremely complex network structures of parent and subsidiary companies in order to increase international competitive advantages. MNCs make special efforts to recruit staff capable of effectively performing key functions in the field of corporate offshoring. We find huge regional asymmetries in MNCs impact on development of national economies. On one hand, a number of highly profitable corporations pay almost zero tax in favour of their countries of registration; on the other, MNCs create jobs, markets, innovations and FDI, which outweighs negative impact. One of them is the metamorphosis of the world economic cyclicity that emerged during the global 2020 economic crisis and led to a radical change in its nature, driving forces and regulatory mechanisms. The paper reveals the prerequisites for the crisis caused by traditional and emerging factors and proves its pandemic nature, which manifests itself, on one hand, in the synchronization of national business cycles, and on the other – in the integrative mutual influence of its political, institutional and environmental components. It has been proven that a particularly destructive role in the global regulatory mechanism was played by the “overlap” in space and time of the economic crisis and the health crisis provoked by the coronavirus pandemic. This requires an urgent systematic reform of global countercyclical management institutions based on a gestalt paradigm, which is qualitatively different in principles, goals and tools from the existing mechanisms for managing national economies and multinational enterprises. Обґрунтовано роль зелених фінансових інструментів у післявоєнному відновленні України.Item Information determinants of the economic convergence of Ukraine and Poland(ДВНЗ «Київський національний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана», 2013) Ilnytskyi, Denys; Ільницький, Денис Олександрович; Ильницкий, Денис АлександровичBy satisfying the information needs of national entities in the most effective manner, a country assures the best business environment and the best satisfaction of consumer needs, which will entail low economic risks, low loan interest rates, a stable currency exchange rate, the minimization of the cyclic character of economic development, as well as sustained economic growth and public welfare. Decent international economic relations are possible when explicit specialization and cooperation are in place and when entities have opportunities to utilize – competitive advantages created due to unique information resources or the best use of such resources, let alone the situations with a monopoly over information resources. Thus, the issue of information falls into two large blocs, namely information resources and the infrastructure of information resource movement. Ukraine should make maximum efforts to develop competitive advantages for national entities, which is possible solely in the context of market relations in the information sphere, where the role of the state is limited to supervision over compliance with legislation and coordination of efforts designed to promote national interests. A low quality of information support of Ukrainian and Polish economic entities results in the weak utilization of commercial potential and small volumes of joint investment between the two countries. The work analyses the theoretical foundations of migration, its causes, types and consequences. The migration policies of such countries and regions as the USA, Canada, Japan and the EU are considered. Effective tools for regulating migration are identified, including selective selection of migrants based on professional and educational criteria, integration programmes, control and monitoring mechanisms. The impact of migration on the demographic situation, labour market and socio-economic development of host countries is analysed. On the basis of the study, the author offers recommendations for improving the management of migration processes in Ukraine, taking into account the best practices of developed countries. Бакалаврська робота присвячена дослідженню досвіду розвинених країн в управлінні міграційними процесами. У роботі проаналізовано теоретичні основи міграції, її причини, види та наслідки. Розглянуто міграційну політику таких країн та регіонів, як США, Канада, Японія та ЄС. Виявлено ефективні інструменти регулювання міграції, зокрема селективний відбір мігрантів за професійними та освітніми критеріями, інтеграційні програми, механізми контролю та моніторингу. Проаналізовано вплив міграції на демографічну ситуацію, ринок праці та соціально-економічний розвиток приймаючих країн. На основі проведеного дослідження запропоновано рекомендації щодо вдосконалення управління міграційними процесами в Україні з урахуванням кращих практик розвинених держав.Item Public-private partnership in science and education – guarantee of international competitiveness(Тернопільський національний економічний університет, 2015-06) Ilnytskyi, Denys; Ільницький, Денис Олександрович; Ильницкий, Денис АлександровичThe paper is dedicated to the task of generalization of the theory and international experience of public-private partnerships in the field of science and education (further- PPPSE), which is lacking in domestic scientific periodicals, in order to create preconditions for its vitalization in Ukraine. The PPPSE’s leading role is determined as a mechanism for the convergence of interests of the state, scientific and educational institutions, and enterprises that comply with the concept of triple helix. For this purpose author identified the main directions, forms, conditions, factors, types, risks, models of PPPSE and the arguments arising from international experience, in which special attention is paid to the EU countries. The PPPSE should be regarded as one of the mechanisms for mobilization and sustainable financing of national scientific and educational potential development due to its commercialization within innovation systems and creation of competitive advantages for global and local leadership of businesses and economy. The PPPSE is identified as a basis for the development of cities in the global knowledge economy. The experience and peculiarities of the EU have shown the existence of significant national differences between the levels of activity in PPPSE. The main instrument of convergence of the EU in the PPPSE field is defining uniform requirements for public procurement. Opening the PPPSE Ukraine should rely on the results of the study of worldwide international experience.
