| dc.description.abstract | The article deals with the objective necessity of innovative development of the economy of Ukraine as a prerequisite for strengthening national competitiveness. Innovative development of the national economy has been associated with the replacement of old technological structures and dynamic expansion of the high-tech sector. The provision of conditions for implementation of the principles of decent work in high-tech field is recognized to be one of the strategic directions of reforming the field of innovative activities. The relationship between the increase of the employment scales in high-tech sector and the increase of the welfare of population by providing decent work has been proven. The purpose of the article is to show signs of deficit of decent work in high-tech sectors of the domestic industry as a strategic challenge regarding innovative development of the economy of Ukraine. The author’s vision of the characteristics of decent work in high-tech sectors of Ukrainian industry has been presented. Statistical data describing the quantitative and qualitative aspects of employment in high-tech sectors of Ukrainian industry makes it possible to arrive at the following conclusion: this segment of the Ukrainian labour market is the world of quite contradictory trends that have ambiguous consequences for the provision of innovative development. According to the author modern transformations of social and labor sphere that are common to the hi-tech segment of the economy of Ukraine can be viewed as a convincing proof of new challenges regarding directions, mechanisms and tools of the provision of decent work. The author singled out the strategic challenges of decent work in the context of the establishment of an innovative model of economic development, which is an element of novelty. The practical significance of the research results is that the main positions of the conducted analysis and conclusions can be the basis for the development of program documents regarding the implementation of the principles of decent work. The perspectives for further research are defined by institutional format and applied mechanisms of the provision of decent work in conditions of establishing an innovative model of Ukraine. | en |
