| dc.description.abstract | Social investment and mechanisms for its expansion in major economies of the world is explored in the article. It was determined that the systemic development of the institutional environment for the expansion of social investment in the EU was a response to the key challenges for the European economy: economic crisis ( which has increased unemployment and poverty and social exclusion ) and deterioration in the demographic dynamics (reduction of the working population in Europe and increasing the share of the adult people). It is noted that the practical value of social investment is of double (the social and entrepreneurial) effect. It was determined that in Ukraine social investment has not become widespread and largely focused on the national and international support through the funds established by foreign countries and organizations for concessional lending to socially important projects. In this article, the necessity of the development and implementation of combined funding instruments of social impact investments is substantiated. Namely, the instruments based on the resources of international financial institutions, direct expenditure, private investment (which should encourage government guarantees and other mechanisms of assistance), financial resources, sovereign wealth funds, private investors, wealthy individuals, philanthropic foundations, etc. The content of the directions of implementation of the corresponding work is offered. | en |
