| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this article is to propose a methodological approach to measuring the living standards of rural population in the context of regions. The scientific novelty of the proposed methodological approach is that the standard of living of peasants is proposed to be determined by the integral index of human development. The indicated index is a medium-archetype of five generalizing indices characterizing the basic aspects of the lifeof the rural population: 1) demographic development; 2) development of the labor market;3) social environment; 4) financial position; 5) living conditions. Each generalization indexis based on a certain number of primary indicators that characterize the relevant aspect oflife. The practical value of the proposed approach is that it allows monitoring of humandevelopment of peasants in the context of regions; to provide a scientific basis for the socio-economic policy of the state in each particular region. In addition, the methodology for constructing an integral index enables to modify both the quantity and quality of the indicators that are part of it and the number of aspects of human development. | uk |
