dc.description.abstractДисертаційна робота присвячена комплексному дослідженню сценаріїв трансформації світової валютної системи в умовах наростання її внутрішніх суперечностей. Обґрунтовано парадигмальні засади функціонування глобальної валютної системи, детермінанти її формування, стратегічні цілі та концептуальні засади формування нових інститутів глобальної валютної системи. Охарактеризовано сценарії трансформації світової валютної системи на основі домінування долара США, визначено тенденції та перспективи формування глобальної валютної системи на базі існуючих та запланованих регіональних валютних систем, дано комплексну оцінку альтернативних сценаріїв трансформації світової валютної системи. Визначено необхідні напрями та існуючі тенденції модифікації діючих регулюючих інститутів світової валютної системи. Дано характеристику особливостей інституційної взаємодії світової валютної системи з національними. The Dissertation is devoted to the study of the world monetary system transformation in conditions of the internal systemic contradictions deepening. The paradigmatic principles of the global monetary system functioning, determinants of its formation, strategic goals and conceptual foundations of the new international monetary regulators are substantiated. The author gives the characteristic of the world currency system transformation scenarios that are based on the US dollar dominance, existing and prospective regional currency systems development, and alternatives that refer to the complementary currency systems development, including local currency systems, cryptocurrencies, common exchange systems etc. Necessary directions of the existing international monetary regulators reformation are defined. The Postgraduate gives the characteristic of the institutional interaction of the world monetary system with the national one. The thesis deals with the international currency system, its evolutionary development and future prospects. It provides international settlements and its role continues to grow with the globalization process development. Its proper functioning supports the deepening of international division of labor which significantly facilitates political interrelations between countries and modern economic development. The thesis includes determination of the main historical directions of the world currency system regulation through its evolutionary stages and their specific organizational characteristics. At the same time, different scientific views on the international currency system even broader variety of possible ways to organize it. Examination of the main concepts examination of main concepts and influencers of the monetary theory provides ability to consider unimplemented ideas or to adapt them to current economic conditions. Modern world can be characterized by three main centers of economic power that include the USA, the EU, and China. They are able to compete in the monetary field and the thesis examines leadership prospects of the each one. The author examines the US dollar’s strengths and opportunities. Modern international currency system is based on this currency and this fact leads to the ability of the US dollar to become a standard for the prospective currency system in case of its monetary influence significance. Scenario of the further dollar dominance is defined as the most possible due to its market strength, economic power of the USA, its international influence, military strength etc. The thesis also deals with different regional currency system and examines their economic strength and prospects of their existing or planned common currencies to settle the role of the reserve currency. The EU has significant problems with the financial discipline, debt politics, growth prospects that set the limits to the growth of the monetary role of the euro in short- or middle-term. The other expected and existing monetary unions are much smaller and their abilities to grow are low to predict the growth of the monetary role of the currencies emitted by them. At the same time there are the currencies which monetary role reduced, for example, SUCRE that is emitted by the regional trade bloc Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas. Prospects of the common currency in Asia are also low due to the existence of two world leaders – China and Japan, lack of the financial markets infrastructure in China, absence of the optimal currency zone criteria, and early stage of the common currency project development. Alternative scenarios cover development of different complementary currency systems that may develop on both local and global level. These systems have counter-cyclic nature that helps to support depressive territories or to use them with the aim to develop social projects. Prospects of the institutional structure reform of the world currency system are examined in the thesis. Global monetary system demands new institutions that would provide significant level of currency stability and at the same time proper level of system’s flexibility. Modern monetary regulators also need the reformation continuance in the sphere of introduction of the official role of lender of last resort and redistribution of the countries ability to represent their national interests in the IMF. Диссертация посвящена комплексному исследованию сценариев трансформации мировой валютной системы в условиях нарастания ее внутренних противоречий. Обоснованно парадигмальные основы функционирования глобальной валютной системы, детерминанты ее формирования, стратегические цели и концептуальные основы формирования новых институтов глобальной валютной системы. Охарактеризованы сценарии трансформации мировой валютной системы на основе доминирования доллара США, определены тенденции и перспективы формирования глобальной валютной системы на базе существующих и планируемых региональных валютных систем, дана комплексная оценка альтернативных сценариев трансформации мировой валютной системы. Определены необходимые направления и существующие тенденции модификации действующих регулирующих институтов мировой валютной системы. Дана характеристика особенностей институционального взаимодействия мировой валютной системы с национальными.uk_UA
