Item Academic integrity in online assessment: comparing Safe Exam Browser and soft blocking approaches in Moodle(Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана, 2026-04-23) Bobrivnyk, Svitlana; Бобрівник, Світлана Леонідівна; Haiduchenko, Svitlana; Гайдученко, Світлана ВалентинівнаThe article examines contemporary challenges in maintaining academic integrity in distance learning environments, which arise from the increasing use of artificial intelligence tools and machine translation services by students during online assessments. A comparative analysis of Safe Exam Browser (SEB) and soft test-blocking approaches within the Moodle learning management system is conducted. The principles underlying both approaches are examined, their advantages and limitations are identified, and the appropriateness of their application is discussed in relation to different types of assessment tasks. The findings demonstrate that a balanced combination of varying levels of technical control contributes to greater student autonomy, improved reliability of assessment, and the development of a culture of responsible learning.Item Artificial intelligence in education: opportunities, challenges, and emerging trends(Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана, 2026-04-23) Bobrivnyk, Svitlana; Бобрівник, Світлана Леонідівна; Tepliuk, Iryna; Теплюк, Ірина АнатоліївнаThe article examines the opportunities, advantages, and potential risks of using artificial intelligence technologies in the educational process. Particular attention is given to the main directions of AI tool application in teachers’ and students’ activities, including the automation of learning tasks, the personalization of instruction, and the improvement of learning efficiency. The study also considers generative language models and specialized educational platforms, highlighting their pedagogical potential and limitations. Ethical aspects of AI implementation are addressed, including issues of academic integrity, information reliability, and digital inequality. Проаналізовано академічну соціалізацію з точки зору ролі учасників освітнього процесу (студент, викладач/інструктор). Детально описано особливості та проблеми академічної соціалізації в даному середовищі. Названо умови та розглянуто можливість застосування різних стратегій навчання для ефективної академічної соціалізації в умовах полікультурного класу. Зроблено відповідні висновки за результатами роботи. The article substantiates the necessity of knowing cultural features and peculiarities for successful academic socialisation in intercultural online environment. Academic socialisation is analysed from the perspective of the roles each party (student, teacher/facilitator) plays in the educational process. Peculiarities and problems of academic socialisation are described in detail. The conditions and the possibility to apply various teaching/learning strategies to enhance academic socialisation in a multicultural classroom are considered. Проведено порівняльний аналіз використання Safe Exam Browser (SEB) та м’яких засобів блокування тестів у системі Moodle. Описано принципи роботи обох підходів, їхні переваги та обмеження, а також окреслено доцільність застосування кожного з них залежно від типів тестових завдань. Показано, що поєднання різних рівнів технічного контролю сприяє підвищенню самостійності студентів, покращенню якості оцінювання та формуванню культури відповідального навчання. The article addresses contemporary challenges of ensuring academic integrity in distance learning, caused by the growing use of artificial intelligence tools and machine translation services by students during online testing. A comparative analysis of Safe Exam Browser (SEB) and soft test-blocking approaches in the Moodle learning management system is conducted. The principles of operation of both solutions are described, along with their advantages and limitations, and conclusions are drawn regarding the appropriateness of their application depending on the type of test tasks. Визначено рекомендації щодо покращення навчального процесу в контексті плідної співпраці тандему викладач–студент. The given article is devoted to the study of online learning challenges in terms of adaptation to quarantine restrictions. The authors analyzed the data obtained after the student survey, the purpose of which was to identify problems and prospects of the educational process. Окрему увагу приділено генеративним мовним моделям і спеціалізованим освітнім платформам, їхнім педагогічним можливостям та обмеженням. Висвітлено етичні аспекти використання штучного інтелекту, зокрема питання академічної доброчесності, достовірності інформації та цифрової нерівності. Запропоновано практичні рекомендації щодо відповідального впровадження ШI-технологій у навчальне середовище. Розглянуто їхню роль у формулюванні контрастів, спрощенні складних питань, зверненні до цінностей, викликанні емоцій та формуванні майбутніх перспектив. Використання біноміалів дозволяє політикам робити мову доступнішою, підкреслювати ідеологічні позиції та впливати на громадську думку. Дослідження акцентує увагу на їхній значущості як інструменту стратегічного мовного впливу для формування політичних наративів. The article analyses the significance of binomials ‒ fixed word combinations connected by conjunctions ‒ in political discourse. It examines their role in framing contrasts, simplifying complex issues, appealing to values, evoking emotions, and shaping future visions. The use of binomials allows politicians to make their language more accessible, emphasize ideological positions, and influence public opinion. The study highlights their effectiveness as a strategic linguistic tool for shaping political narratives.
