    The aim of the article is to research the process of enhancing social cohesion. The main approaches to social policy of the state that enables it to influence the level of socialcohesion are covered. In modern conditions social policy is universal, necessary andfunctionally important area of social life, especially for improving social cohesion. Maindirections of the implementation of state social policy in the context of social cohesion have been researched. Changes in the policy of citizens` incomes, sector of employment, health, education, culture, housing sectors of state social policy are hihglighted. The main factors of the increase of the level of social cohesion in Ukraine have been analysed.

    У статті запропоновано концепт соціальної відповідальності місцевих органів влади. Основними елементами цього концепту є безпосередньо громада, її громадський актив; місцеві органи влади; громадськість, бізнес. А також такі важливі складові, як соціально комфортне середовище для життя у громаді, яке розглядається якмета і результат соціально відповідальної діяльності місцевих органів влади, і програма розвитку громади, яка є дороговказом її діяльності та одночасно механізмом узгодження інтересів окремих її членів.
