The formulated goal caused assessment of a number of potential factors influencing the development of the export potential of the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex in terms of production and sales of organic agricultural products on foreign markets. The authors conducted economic and mathematical modeling based on the software product E-Views. The observation interval covers 2008-2019. Multifactorial regression model has been constructed and tested for heteroscedasticity, as well as causal relationships have been identified between the main indicators of supply and demand and the exports volumes of related organic products. This makes it possible for further forecast on Ukraine’s exports in the short and medium term. Methodology. The study has been based on statistics from international and Ukrainian institutions specializing in organic farming and trade, including FiBL (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture), the Federation of Organic Movement of Ukraine. Databases of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, UNCTAD for the period 2008-2019 were also involved, which made it possible to conduct a full cycle of research procedures in order to identify the most significant factors influencing Ukraine’s export activity within related segment of the global market. The results of the conducted modeling show the following: achievement and increase of Ukraine’s relative advantage in international trade of organic agro-food products for the outlined years; the existence of strong connection between the volume of exports of organic agro-food products and the level of comparative country’s advantages in international trade; identifying a significant impact on exports of endogenous factors, namely the level of wholesale and retail sales on the domestic market of Ukraine as a factor that creates additional demand from the population and business of Ukraine (B2B and B2C markets) for organic products and enhances the attention of agricultural manufacturers to activities that combine the criteria of high profitability and public demand. Another endogenous factor is the volume of areas allocated for organic farming has shown insignificant impact, however, it allows to create resource conditions for increasing production and export activity of national business in a particular sphere on various directions, from meat and dairy products to production of organic fruit, vegetables, etc. Practical implications. Conceptual provisions, conclusions formulated by the authors based on the conducted econometric modeling, allow to optimize the measures of regulatory policy in terms of institutional support of conditions and factors contributing to promising activities of the national agro-industrial complex. This will ensure the implementation of the national strategy on sustainable development with its emphasis achieving environmental criteria of production and consumption, reduce the level of import dependence upon a number of strategically important food groups and, at the same time, increase economic efficiency of Ukrainian agricultural business. Value/originality. Prospects for further research in this area may assess the potential of international production and marketing cooperation between Ukrainian agricultural companies and non-resident companies in terms of limiting the latter’s access to the land market in Ukraine while finding flexible mechanisms to stimulate joint production and sale of organic agricultural products on international markets according to quality and safety standards.Item Evaluation of target market segments for enterprises(Szkoły Głównej Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie, 2019) Wasilewska, Natalia; Bludova, Tetiana; The purpose of the article is to substantiate the emergence of new – and the development of existing – factors and segmentation criteria for meeting consumer needs and increasing the efficiency of marketing activities for Ukrainian enterprises under modern market conditions. The object of the research is to analyze the process of development and any increases in the effectiveness of marketing segmentation. The subject of research is the theoretical, methodical and practical provisions of the formation of targeted marketing segmentation for the markets of Ukrainian enterprises. The goal of the research is to evaluate the direction and type of market segmentation that determines future target segments for enterprises and their share of existing markets. We present the characteristics of enterprises that work on market relations for the production and sale of computer devices that provide network connections. Our method was to estimate the direction and type of market segmentation in order to determine the prospective segments for such enterprises and their share of the existing market. In order to evaluate the attractiveness of target segments for Ukrainian enterprises, a survey was conducted to validate customer reactions. The analyzed variables included: the length of time a person uses his/her computer device; the reasons for possible changes and important settings when choosing a computer device; the timeframe for buying a computer device. The results of the questionnaire are separated by gender, social and geographic factors, as well as by family composition and age of respondents, taking into account the stages of their life cycle, as well as their educational level and professions – for three enterprises. Particular attention was paid to the psychographic factors of occupation and social class. The questionnaire also contained a self-assessment section on the psychological qualities of the consumer and on their psychography, which we analyzed. The hypotheses presented by individual factors and the consumer segment, separated by the results of the survey, and the analysis of the respondents' answers, are presented. Confirmation of the hypotheses and isolation of the consumer segment are given.Item Financial and legal regulation of blockchane technology: status and prospects of cryptovolute use(Харківський навчально-науковий інститут ДВНЗ «Університет банківської справи», 2021) Tipanov, Vladyslav; Тіпанов, Владислав Вікторович; Типанов, Владислав Викторович; Drachov, A.; Драчов, О.; Tkalenko, Svitlana; Ткаленко, Світлана Іванівна; Ткаленко, Светлана Ивановна; Mirzodaieva, T.; Мірзодаєва, Т.; Syerova, L.; Сєрова, Л.The essence of cryptocurrencies is considered and the definition of their legal status is offered. The experience of some jurisdictions regarding the opportunities and threats of using and regulating cryptocurrencies has been studied. The authors analyzed the cryptocurrency market. The factors that led to the widespread use of cryptocurrency, which include financial instability, significant currency fluctuations, limiting capital flows and inflation of the currency in the country. The problem of information protection using blockchain technology, which is solved by a combination of block design and cryptographic protection, is considered. The capitalization of TOP cryptocurrencies for the last three years is analyzed, among which the leading ones are Bitcoin (VTS), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT) and others. Identified issues that need to be addressed in the field of finance and legal regulation. In the process of analyzing the experience of regulating cryptocurrency, we have found similar and distinctive features in some jurisdictions. First, each country, in view of the great potential of the blockchain technology, is trying in one way or another to create a favorable climate for its development. Secondly, the use of cryptocurrency goods is rapidly developing, and their impact on economic processes, both at the international and national levels is increasing, while states are faced with the problem of adapting their tax legislation to the current challenges of the digital economy, since the definition of the status of cryptocurrency does not directly lead to lack of funds to the state budget from operations with these assets. Thirdly, today there are more than 2,000 cryptocurrencies is traded through various trading platforms — stock exchanges and can be used to launder proceeds from crime. Thus, it is necessary to develop common standards for the regulation of cryptocurrency and the requirements for such crypto exchange counterparts, through the licensing of operations with cryptocurrencies. At the same time, the important question is what government bodies should exercise such control. Item Foreign direct investments and economic growth in the post-COVID-19 period: a causality analysis for Ukraine(Харківський навчально-науковий інститут ДВНЗ «Університет банківської справи», 2022) Tkalenko, Svitlana; Ткаленко, Світлана Іванівна; Ткаленко, Светлана Ивановна; Дерій, Жанна; Derii, Zhanna; Бутенко, Наталія; Butenko, Nataliia; Македон, Галина; Makedon, Halyna; Семченко-Ковальчук, Олена; Semchenko-Kovalchuk, OlenaGiven the openness of most national economies, ensuring sustainable economic growth, trends of linearization, transnationalization, there has been a significant increase in foreign direct investment. Foreign direct investments (FDI) is a key component of economic growth and development, as the essence of economic growth is the rapid and efficient transfer of “best practices”. In addition to direct capital investing, FDI can be a source of the valuable transfer of technology and exchange, know-how, and foster international connections of companies that have an impact on economy. In addition, it should be noted that FDI have potentially desirable features that affect the quality of growth with significant social consequences. This can decrease negative shocks caused by financial instability. FDI generate income directed to support other economies. The volumes of foreign direct investments are growing under the influence of globalization, the intensification of existing ties creating problems and threats to secure the national economic development, and in today’s sustainable and inclusive (integral) growth. The evolution of the world economy has strongly influenced the dynamics of foreign direct investments and foreign capital flows, as well as economies of host countries. Current trends of the impact of foreign direct investments on economic growth have not by-passed economy of Ukraine, which is in a transitional stage of its development and is a host country. Therefore, the importance of attracting safe foreign direct investments is extremely ripe for the national economy and its economic growth at the current stage. Item Foreign direct investments in the economic growth of the open economy of Ukraine(Харківський навчально-науковий інститут ДВНЗ «Університет банківської справи», 2021) Rokocha, V.; Рокоча, В. In terms of globalization of the world economy, the open economy of a country participating in the globalization process becomes an organic element of the world economy and thus receives additional incentives for development. International flows of goods and capital allow countries to get new sources for economic growth. Economic growth is now not only a function of internal but also of external factors. It is they who now determine the modernization tendencies of national economic policies, forcing them to move in accordance with world trends. The purpose of the research is to assess the relationship between economic growth of the country and external factors of its economic development, as well as to identify the dependency between external factors in order to clarify their role in the modernization of national economy. With this aim, the analysis of the main parameters of openness of Ukraine’s economy is carried out, as of external factors that influence on the national economic development, changes in the traditional production function under the influence of introduction in it of external factors of development, the estimated indicators of the named influences are modeled. The novelty of the research is the identification of dependency between the forms of openness of the economy and economic growth, the development of a model of relationship between the forms of openness of the economy. Research method. The study is based on a set of economic and economic-mathematical methods that are needed to identify the influence of external factors on the national economy, especially methods of abstraction, systematic and structural-comparative analysis, synthesis and modeling of economic processes. Among the models used in the research is a multifactor regression model. The empirical basis was the materials of official statistics of Ukraine for 1999—2019. The results of research showed: the role of globalization of Ukraine’s economy in its economic development, the importance of FDI as an external factor of economic development, the strong link between international capital flows and international flows of goods into the Ukrainian economy, the positive impact of the latter on the former. Item Gender gap in EU member-states and eastern partnership countries: the impact of European integration(Ukrainian Association of Professors and Researchers of European Integration, 2019-06-07) Tokar, Volodymyr V.; Item Investment security of the national economy of Ukraine at the present stage(Східноєвропейський центр фундаментальних досліджень, 2019) Tkalenko, Svitlana; Ткаленко, Світлана Іванівна; Ткаленко, Светлана ИвановнаThe article investigates investment security of the national economy as a component of economic security. Innovation potential and performance of Ukrainian regions assessment is grounded on the regional innovation systems approach, employing selected indicators of the EU regional innovation evaluation criteria. Key trends and problematic issues of regional innovation development are captured through a number of methods: comparative analysis, calculating variation of regional innovation capacity indicators within countries and their correlation versus per capita GDP of regions in Poland and Ukraine. The overall low level of R&D and innovation expenditure, high variation of regional innovation performance, insufÞ cient effects of innovations on the regional GDP dynamics as well as lack of feasible policy instruments to support innovations constitute the main risks for the regional innovation systems considered. Weak and patchy regional innovation performance in both countries fosters import dependent managerial practices driven by foreign technology adoption.Item Macroeconomic factors influencing the development of Ukraine’s foreign trade(Izdevnieciba «Baltija Punlishing», 2020) Tkalenko, Svitlana; Melnyk, Tetyana; Kudyrko, LiudmylaThe purpose of the study is to assess the relationship between Ukraine's foreign trade and its major macroeconomic indicators in the context of deepening globalization processes and increasing dependence of national economic development on exogenous determinants. In order to achieve this goal, the most important factors of influence of macro level on the scale of foreign trade turnover have been selected, the interval of observations has covered 1999-2018. Authors used the method of economic and mathematical modeling based on the E-Views software. A multifactor regression model has been constructed, tested for autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity; causal effects have been identified between foreign trade and the main macroeconomic indicators of combinatorial nature (both exogenous and endogenous), Ukraine’s foreign trade volumes has been forecasted up to 2023. Methodology. The study is based on the analyzed macroeconomic indicators for the period of 1999-2018, which made it possible to select those that showed up greatest impact on foreign trade. The results of the conducted modeling showed: high level achievement of foreign trade dynamics of Ukraine over the mentioned years, which exceeded similar indicators of dynamics of global trade; strong link between foreign trade, foreign direct investment and employment; revealing of a significant influence upon foreign trade of innovative activity of national business in industry as a dominant segment of the foreign sector of the country. As conclusions, the authors formulated a thesis on the need to strengthen institutional support for innovation and investment activities of national enterprises as a driver for scale-up and improvement of quality of Ukraine's trade relations with the entire world. It is determined that the multiplicative interaction of innovation and investment would diversify and complicate the commodity structure of exports, increase the level of its technological and innovative nature, and thus it is to allow to get rid of the established attitude to Ukraine on the trading map of the world as a supplier of low-tech raw materials. Practical implications. The main theoretical propositions, the authors’ conclusions presented in the article, are supposed to form a methodological basis for expert evaluation in substantiating the priorities of the state policy modernization regarding conditions and factors promoting the export-oriented sectors of the national economy. Value/originality. Prospects for further research in this sphere may be to assumed onto making an assess on risks (threats) and macroeconomic effects of foreign trade deterioration in the context of declining economic activity regarding importing countries of their domestic products, especially in the EU and the PRC, further weakening of external channels of investment and reducing the ability of businesses to innovate in deepening recessionary processes on the global and national levels. Item Methodological background of post-Soviet regionalism: the case of Ukraine(Tallinn University of Technology, 2014) Chuzhykov, Victor; The transformational 1990s significantly differentiated the regional model of Ukraine, which eventually began to resemble a system of uncontrolled chronic economic decline, as the existing planning and regulatory methods had become redundant, the market-based approaches being not actualized. The methodological vacuum in which Ukraine found itself did not allow regions to solve the existing problems by means of European economic convergence instruments. Despite the fact that more and more theories and concepts appeared in the leading developed countries (regional competitiveness, cityregion, beautiful places, creative city, localization, etc.), national science used outdated ideas of planned regulation, inappropriate in market economy. The effect of government policies resembled core measures of the neoliberal model, while maintaining a high degree of administrative centralization. FDI inflow fundamentally altered the regional landscape. The leading position in accumulating the FDI stock belonged to Kyiv, which also produced the largest per capita GDP. In the last five years a revival of innovation activity took place in the Ukrainian regions. Eventually it obtained an undulating character, moving basically along two axes: Lviv–Kyiv and Kyiv–Kharkiv. However, low FDI level in the worst performing regions could create an erroneous impression about the positive impact of FDI on regional economy. A region’s development trajectory might also be affected by the mentality of its inhabitants, as well as the media, whose impact can convey either a cohesive or disintegrating character. This was evidenced by the recent events in Ukraine, as well as the “East versus West” confrontation, which resulted in frustration, whereas the lack of tolerance among the population of certain regions provoked the bloodshed. Thus, identification of methodological background of post-Soviet regionalism on the example of Ukraine is an important scientific task, which may explain the essence of regional asymmetries in the post-Soviet states.Item Modeling the function of advertising reviews from media ads on the YouTube channel(LLC CPC Business Perspectives, 2019-08) Bludova, Tetiana; The use of display advertising enables companies to reach target audience and show them your ads on specific sites, which increases sales. In particular, YouTube video ads can reach a wide audience and attract many customers. One of the most important issues in the development of display advertising is the analysis and modeling of advertising reviews from media advertisements and practical tools with the aim of taking synergistic effects of advertising reviews. The purpose of the paper is to research the synergistic effects of advertising reviews in the system of successive advertising display. The study used a statistical analysis of empirical data, in particular statistics of annotations of video clips demonstration; viewing a video clip, and also approaching ad rotation time series using the Fourier series. The synergistic effects of advertising reviews in the system of successive advertising display are revealed. The approximation of time series of advertising reviews in the synergistic system of successive advertising display is presented. The analytical periodic function of advertising reviews, which takes into account manifestation of the short-term current effect of video advertising messages, is developed. The functions of advertising reviews in the Fourier series are presented, which allows to simulate video advertising messages as a reaction in the form of revision annotations in media advertising.Item Modernization of the Ukrainian agricultural sector: facing global food crisis challenges(Одеський національний університет імені І. Many scientific publications, various issues of authoritative international academic journals has been dedicated to globalization. The describe globalization as an irreversible process; they list advantages and disadvantages of globaliz.ation. At the same time antiglobalism representatives continue to gain momentum. In the XXI century everyone's talking about globalization: presidents, prime ministers, members of parliament, who can resolve no problems if they leave this global development phenomenon aside, to ordinary citizens. So today it is obvious that globalization has become a main trend of the modem world development. Therefore, economic security issues are most burning problems for every country; and this article envisages the main component - financial security - through the example of a transition economy. So over again we dedicate our study to this trend of global development in the context of national security within globalization of financial flows and markets.Item Peculiarities of the women’s representation in KNEU top management(Київський національний економічний університет імені Вадима Гетьмана, 2024-04-30) Vinska, Oksana; Вінська, Оксана Йосипівна; Винская, Оксана Иосифовна
